Illncs that the war department plans to re lease from 200,000 lo 250.000 soldiers monthly after Ger many's defeat was described as "without foundation" today by Sccrolnry Stimson. Stimson said in a stutoment thnt the basic elements In the war department's mobilization plan were made nubile last Sep tember 8 and have not boon changed. Hlnes, testifying before the house appropriations committee recently, said "the war depart ment contemplates releasing from 200,000 to 230,000 men a month" after V-E day. BAKED MASHED SQUASH steam-unpeeled pieces of winter squasliTintil tender, scrape from shell, mash, season with salt, pepper and add enough milk to make the same ' consistency as mashed, potatoes. Put into a bak ing dish, dot with butter or margarine, sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped nuts, if desired. Bake in a moderate oven (350 F.) until heated through and browned on top.
