0 PACE FOUR HERALD AND NEWS, KLAMATH FALLS, ORECON Claryce Holm Is Bride of Navy Man Miss Claryce Holm became the bride of Lieutenant Frank Dale Moynihan at a candlelight ceremony held in the Klamath Lutheran church on Saturday evening, August 12. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holm, formerly of Klamath Falls, and now of Biebcr, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Moynihan of Montrose, Colorado, now stationed at the Klamath naval air station. The beautiful myrtlewood altar of the church was banked with palms and tall bouquets of pink and white gladioli. The nncie, given in marriages by her father, wore tne tram- tional white satin with a long train. Her fingertip veil was held bv a Juliet cap ot pearls Her only ornament was a triple strand of pearls, and she carried a white Bible wiwi a spray ot or chids. Virginia Morin, maid of hon or, was in blue with a bodice of moire and a full net skirt. She wore a small net cap and carried an arm bouquet of sweet peas. The bridesmaids were Barbara Sellers and Faith Hunsaker, who wore dresses of pink and blue with satin bodices and mar quisette skirts. They carried bouquets of pink and white sweet peas. Little Diane Delyea, the flower girl, wore a floor length dress of white moire and carried an old-fashioned bouquet of red, white, and blue flowers. Lieutenant Howard Eddy was the best man and the ushers were Lieutenant (jg) William Homen and Lieutenant Charles DuCander. Before the services, Mrs. Ruby Hiatt sang, "Be cause" and "Oh Promise Me," and the oreanist. Mrs. Carl Brandsness, played Lohengrin's wedding march and Mendels sohn's recessional. Rev. Orville Schmidt of Portland performed the ceremony. Mrs. Carl Holm, the bride's mother, wore a blue print dress with white hat and accessories and her corsage was white gar denias. Mrs. Moynihan, moth er of the groom, wore a crepe dress of light biege with match ing hat, and a corsage of salmon pink gladiolis matched the trim on her hat. About a hundred guests were present at the wedding and at the reception in the church par lors which followed. A beauti fully decorated bride's cake cen tered the table, with flowers car rying out the color scheme of pink and white. Mrs. S. J. Stark ey and Mrs. A. R. Dickson poured, and after the bride had cut the first piece of the cake, Mrs. William DeCew served. Miss Dorothy O'Sullivan assisted about the rooms. . Lieutenant and Mrs. Moyni han will make their home in Klamath Falls for the present, where they are at home at the Evans apartments. Friendly Circle The Friendly Circle met re cently with Mrs. Fritz Vance on snasta way, for luncheon at 1 o'clock and a social afternoon. The members present were Nona Hall, Kathryn Billings, Nettie Good, Arbhur Stone and. Violet Vance, and the guests included Mrs. Cory, Mrs. Vance's mother, Mrs. Billings Sr., and Mrs. E. L. Jlitcheil. Mrs. Warren G. Noggle has re turned home after a month's visit with her parents. Dr. and Mrs. J. T. Moser of Lewiston, Idaho. Mrs. Noggle's sisters and families joined them there. They were Mr. and Mrs. Roland Wil kins, Ann, Estelle, and Joe, of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Porter and daughters, Mrs. Wendell Clarkson of Lewiston, Mrs. George Shoemaker of Boise, and Major and Mrs. L. A. Helphrey and Judith of Bend. Lt. Clarkson and Captain Shoemaker are with the army in England. Other house guests of her parents were Captain Robert Pruecel of Camp Attabury, Ind., and his mother; Mrs. J. Edward Pruecel of Col fax, a cousin and aunt of Mrs Noggle and Miss Mary Margaret Kearns of Spokane. Mrs. No- le also visiteri vuilh J1 John and Walter Bethune Jr., at u.u.aauj ui laano. The mem bership committee reported that much interest was shown in the bill at present before congress which will insure a living pen sion to all railroad employes' widows upon reaching the age of 55, and which will also pay a monthly sum for their children until they reach the age of 18. It was decided, tentatively, to meet on the second Tuesday of each month.
