L. Heath of Klamath Falls, in a beautiful home wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Markwardt, the bride's parents, in Chiloquin, at 7 p. m. on August 4. The Reverend Leonard Buck of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated at the double ring ceremony. . The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white basket-weave dress with short sleeves and a rounded neckline. A Juliet cap of pearls held ner ungerup length veil andshe carried a fan bouquet 01 wmie camauuuB. Mrs. Alfred Castel, Jr., the bride's only attendant, wore a floor length beige satin and chif fon dress, with her arm bouquet of pink ana wnne sweeipeas, Neal Owens, Klamath Falls, cou .in nf (hp hride. was best man. Before the ceremony. Elida DeBortoli, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. A. C. Gienger, ni "Now I Know" and "Be cause." The marriage was performed Id front of the fireplace, which was decorated with white glad ioli, carnations and fern, with white tapers in tall candelabra. A reception was held imme diately following the ceremony. A beautiful tiered bride's cake of white centered the main table and was served by Mrs. Walter Zimmerman. Mrs. Ed Owens and Louise Reid of Klamath Falls, aunt and cousin of the bride, poured coffee and punch. Both of the young people are graduates of Chiloquin high school. Mrs. Heath is also a grad uate of the University of Oregon with the class of 1943. She was active in campus affairs and served as president of Susan Campbell hall during her senior year. Mr. Heath has been overseas for nearly two years, serving with the navy in the Pacific area. ' After a trip through the Rogue River valley, Mr. and Mrs. Heath Will travel to San Francisco where he must report for duty. For going away. Mrs. Heath chose a suit of light blue with navy accessories and an orchid corsage. Guests attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Mark wardt, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Under the good of the order, Agnes Lavasic received toe special award, xnree candi dates were balloted upon, to be initiated at the next regular meeting. The large room has lust been finished and on one side has a large circular window overlook ing the Barracks area. Walls have been finished with specially selected wood. Music for the dancing tonight will be furnished by the Marine Barracks dance band. Auxiliary The auxiliary to the Brother hood of Railroad Trainmen met Thursday, August 10, in the KC hall with Mrs. J. N. Jensen, president, in charge of the busi ness meeting. Mrs. Ed Brown was presented with a twenty year pin from the. grand lodge honoring her twenty years of membership in the lodge. Refreshments were served at the close of the meet ing by Mrs. V. C. Phillips as sisted by Mrs. A. B. All of this material is cut out and waiting to be made up. 7 EVERBODY'S Womens Society All circles of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the First Methodist church unit ed for a covered dish luncheon Thursday on the lawn at the home of Mrs. L. K. Phelps at 1057 Auburn. Seventy were present to en joy the' luncheon, which was served cafeteria style, and to honor Mrs. li. S. Wood's eighty first birthday. A beautifully decorated birthday cake was cut by Mrs. Wood, and several of her older friends presented her with a gift following the lunch eon. A birthday poem, com posed by Mrs. George Casper entitled "A Birthday Tribute" was read and dedicated to Mrs. Wood also. Pinochle Club Thursday. August 10.
