Escorted by her brother. Chief Petty Officer Norman Keesling, the bride was lovely in a irock of white starched lace. The f;own was styled with fitted bod ce, full skirt, and sweetheart neckline, and her fingertip veil fell from a Dutch cap of lace. She carried a French bouquet of white begonias and bouvardia, centered with an orchid. Five attendants preceded the bride down the aisle. They were Mrs. Earl Smith of Berkeley, as matron of honor, and Betty Scott of Oakland, Elizabeth Whalcn, Corrlne Newell, and Marion Fisher of San Jose as bridesmaids. Their gowns were styled like that of the bride. Mrs. Smith completed her en semble with a dainty hat of white horsehair, accented with bands of net niching, and the br desmaids woro crownless pic ture hats of white horsehair with white ribbon streamers. Tho attendants carried French bouquets of white sweet peas and wnuc tuoerous Dcgonias. E. J. Mocabee of Klamath Falls performed the best man's duties for his brother, and the ushers were Lieutenant (jg) H. J. ioote. Lieutenant (jg) Kon Ken ny. Ensign Don Smith and PFC Jim Montgomery. The bride- uroom and his fellow naval offi cers were attired -in their white uniforms, For her daughter s wedding, Mrs. Kenneth Carey selected a smart frock of sheer gray print accented with lavender accessor ies and an orchid corsage. En sign Mocabee's mother was at tired in a navy blue suit, compli mented by a white hat and an or chid corsage. - -, KcnNorMede, the bride's home, - was the setting for the garden reception which followed the ceremony. Immediately fol lowing tho reception. Ensign Mocabee and his bride .departed on their wedding trip. H. dcGar- more. grandmother of the eroom The new Mrs, Mocabee is the daughter of Mrs. Kenneth Carey of Cunertimo and Stafford Kees ling of Fullerton. She attended Fremont high school, College of Notre Dame at - Belmont, and Fullerton Junior college and is a graduate of the Samuel Merritt hospital school of ' nursing in Oakland. Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Mocabee Reception Honored at an informal re ception at the E. D. Johnson home on Pacific Terrace last Sunday evening were Ensign and Mrs. Stuart Nelson who stopped here for the weekend on their way to San Francisco. Mrs. Nelson Is the former Barbara Johnson and was mar ried to Ensign Nelson on June 7 immediately after his gradua tion from Annapous. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. E. D. Johnson. The reception was held from until 9 o'clock and many friends came in to greet the couple. . Coffee and punch were serv ed from a table centered with an arrangement of purple and wnite asters and wnne candles. Pouring were Mrs. D. J. Zum- wait and Mrs. Fred Schallock. Receiving guests was Mrs. P, A. Albertson, and Mrs. Robert Shaw, Miss Carolyn Collier and Miss Phyllis Collier assisted about the dining room. Ensign and Mrs. Nelson have recently come from the east, stopping off in Salem to be with his parents. They will be In San Francisco until he em barks, then Barbara will return to Klamath Falls to be with her parents. Informal Tea Mrs. Harry Landrum will be hostess at an informal tea on Sunday afternoon honoring Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bradbury and two daughters, Julia Belle and Iris Fay, who are leaving Klam ath Falls to make their home in Salem.- The tea will be held at the Landrum home at 533 North Sixth. Among the numerous August visitors in the . city . are Mrs. Herbert Scott and . two children, Ann and Charles, of Berkeley, Calif., who are guests of Mrs. Scott's sisters, Mrs. Frank Mills and Mrs. J. J. Steiger. Mrs. Scott is tho former Anna Mae Johnston and is being greeted during her stay by many friends. Her husband is now serving as a lieutenant commander in the navy. Reames Dance Tonight is the night chosen by members of the Reames Golf and Country club for their in formal party dance to De neio at the country club starting at 10 o'clock. Several small parties are being olanned before the dance ' and members will enjoy an evening of dancing at the club to the music of the Tulelake Uuards-men. A special program will be put on at midnight by entertainers from the Marine Barracks, Master of ceremonies for the af fair will be Sgt. Cliff Harp, Men taking part in the program will be. Cpl. Don Steen, Cpl. Jack Mahoney, and PFC Freddie Girard. Lois Bethune left last Satur day for Los Angeles where she spent this week with Evelyn Romberg, formerly ol tnis city. This weekend she plans to travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she will visit with her brother, Locke W. Bethune, who is an instructor in aerial gun nery there. She wilt return next weekend by way of San Francisco where she will also visit for a time. Miss Bethune is employed at the First Nation al bank. Barbara Loosley s Recent Bride Two of Klamath's oldest pioneer families were united When Miss Barbara Loosley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George. Butler , Loosley, now of Sacramento, and Howard Houiday, son ot jut. and Mrs. Lee Holliday, were married at nign noon last Sunday - in Sacramento. The ceremony was read at the Sacred Heart church in th -California capitol by the Reverend Father Christenson before members of the bride's family and close friends. White phlox made a particularly attractive arrangement on the refreshment table and bowls of these flowers were also used about the room. Friends will be interested to learn that Mrs. Adrian Chaney (Barbara Lee Jacobs), is now at Baker, Ore., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jacobs, since the departure of her husband, Tech. Sgt. Chaney, for service in the Pacific area. The ser geant who is also well-known here where he attended school, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L.
