TROY LAUNDRY PURCHASED BY ESTINKIGEH The Superior Troy laundry at 700 South Sixth street has been purchased from Ivan Kar ris by Estln Kiger, Bert Karris and Marlon Grant, all former employes of Ivan Karris. Change in ownership has al ready been effected. Karris has been In the laun dry business hero for 21 years. He is a member of the Rotary club and has been active in community affairs. He intends to continue living in Klamath Kulls, and has purchased a new home on California avenue. Bert Karris has been connect ed with the local business for about 10 years. The list was prepared by Rob ert E. Stripling, chief commit tee Investigator, from data ob tained by the committee during its investigation of the PAC. Most of the fifteen, Stripling said, resigned their government jobs only recently. Heading the list was C. B. Baldwin, assistant chairman of tho PAC and former head of the farm security administration. Airport Use Saves Timber From Fires OKANOGAN, Aug. 2 W) Use of isolated Pasayten forest service airport in northwest Okanogan county enabled for est service crews to save thou sands of acres of virgin timber in the Chelan national forest primitive area, L. T. Jolley, fire assistant of the forest, reported. Fire fighters confined to 800 acres a blaze in the area 60 miles north of Winthrop and six miles south of the Canadian border this week. The crew of 90 men and all equipment was flown to the air field, only a short distance from the fire.
