This gave the Yank their 13th consecutive series and record of having won 42 out of 89 games since the streak started on July B. They now' have plenty of power and good fielding along with the best pitching in the major leagues with staff led by Spud Chandler, Ernie Bonham and Wensloff. The Cardinals have their spectacular speed and (harp hit ting, but their fielding ha falt ered and their pitching ha be come uncertain. In losing four of their last six games they have made 11 errors, five yesterday and at least one in every contest. They made 11 hit in tho ten inning first game with the Pir ates and 13 in the nightcap, but Rookie Alpha Brazle, who had not been beaten in any of hi previous National league starts. gave Pittsburgh a dozen blow in the opener and his teammates made three critical error.
