Spangler said In her radio broadcast on July 21, "We hear much about the four freedoms the freedom ot speech, of religion, the freedom from want and fear. In Ameri ca, we have freedom of speech and of religion, and when that wonderful day comes that the war 1 over we want our armed force to come back to a land that 1 free from want and fear. "The great catartrophe of in flation could easily destroy the hope of h o 1 d i n g out to our fighting men the reward of re turning to a homeland that has retained these last two tree' doms. How tragic it would be II that war-weary boy who risked his life and health to keep men free should return to a land ridden with want end riddled by fear; a land lacking in the Deace he has so aesper- atcly striven for and which he to richly deserves but which has been lost to him by pend' cr and hoarder on the home frnnt. "Are we going to let our he roc from battle front all over tho world come home to find the way of life they fought to preserve has been carelessly lost for tnem Because we iwi' ized too late that the power to prevent inflation was in our hands? Indeed, we CAN pre vent thl. We can do without some of the thing we ordinari ly consider essential If we will but realize that this shortage of goods on the one hand and a ready market on the other is a sure way to inflation. The preventive? Take ad vantage of the opportunity to Invest In war bonds. The Soroptimista and Bust ncss and Professional Women have but three days left in their bond drive. Let' buy bonds with all available money and preserve the four freedoms; give our boys back the America they know and love.
