This was 18 per cent larger than the previous high of last year and 36 per cent above the 1932-41 average. The Increase - in chickens raised this year, the department said, was caused by the favorable relationship between chicken and egg prices and feed prices. U. M., Rogue Biver National Forest, Oregon, esti mated to be 800,000 feet B. M., more or less, of live and dead Douglas-fir, and 2,000,000 feet B. M., more or less, of -white firt and an unestimated amount or ponderosa pine, wmte pine, sugar pine, shasta fir, incense cedar and other species of saw timber to be cut at the option of the purchaser.
