BONANZA CLUB MEETS AT CLUBHOUSE BONANZA Mrs. Obor helde and Mr. Ada Sparreton were co-hostesses to the Wom en's club on Tuesday evening, June the fourteenth, at the clubhouse. Bridge and pino chle were played after which a lovely luncheon was served. High score in pinochle was won by Mrs. H. B. Cox and high scoro in bridge went to Mrs. Claude Bcchdoldt. Cox, and the host esses. Catholic Daughters Have Meeting On Monday evening, June the seventeenth, the Catholic Daughters of America met in the -parish hall for their regu lar business meeting. It was decided that during the months of June, July and Aug ust only the business meetings would be held, on the second Monday of each month, the social meetings being omitted during that time. Following the business meeting refresh ments were served by a com mittee headed by Mildred Smith and Agnes La Londe. Missionary Society Meets Thursday The Women's Missionary Society of the First Baptist church met in the church par lors Thursday, June the sev enteenth, for a light luncheon at noon, served by the mem bers of circle three. The busi ness meeting followed, con ducted by the new president, Mrs. Verne Griffith, after which Mrs. S. I. Kldwell, wife of the pastor of the Trinity Baptist church at Vancouver spoke upon "The Personal Power of Christian Living." Martha Ray, daughter of Mrs. Ruth Ray of 2090 Melrose street, and Dottle McDaniels, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will McDaniels of Michigan ave nue, left last week for San Francisco where they will re main during t h a summer months. Both girls, graduate of the Klamath Union high school, will enter the Oregon college this fall.
