Leonard was recently transferred from Camp Eastern Pulp Wood Supplier to Charge West Maximum Price WASHINGTON, Feb. 23 W) Tho offlco of price .administra tion said yesterday eastern sup pliers of wood pulp allocated to west coast paper mills by the war production board will be permitted to charge the maxi mum prices established for east ern deliveries instead of lower western prices. No Horsemeat Hamburgers for Idaho, Says Expert BOISE, Ida., Feb. 23 () There'll bo no horsemeat ham burgers for Idaho. ' That Is the opinion of Dr. J. S. Sorcnson, chief of the state bureau of animal husbandry, who reported "there is more meat on the hoof In Idaho now than ever before." In addition, he said, there are no federally inspected horse meat packing plants In tho area, and state laws do not permit the use of horsemeat In sausage. Willlslon, Nev. MEETING HELD IN LAPJGELL VALLEY LANCELL VALLEY The regular meeting of the Langcll Valley soil conservation district board of supervisors was held on February 8, at the Langcll valley irrigation district office. R. II, Davis was sworn in as the new supervisor of the district, to serve for thrco years. The board of supervisors de cided to request the soil conser vation service to exchange the SO dicscl tractor for an R. D.-8 with a 12-yard carryall scraper. The board made this decision be cause they believe they can ac complish more land leveling and conservation work on more farms. The district will also have a Marvin land plane or a large Eversman lcvclcr to assist farm ers who have conservation plans with the district. With this equipment available on a rental basis, the district supervisors hope to assist a larger number of small farmers accomplish their objectives In war crops. At the next regular meeting of the board of supervisors to be held at 8 p. m., March 13, the super visors hope to have a number of cooperating farmers help them decide on how to route the equipment available to give as many farmers as possible an op portunity to increase their war crops this coming year.
