New Pine Creek Mr. and Mrs. Duron Thorne and family, who have been liv ing in the Orville Haney house for several months, left for Groveton, Tex., on Thursday. Thorne has a farm in Texas, which has been rented, and the family expect to live there on their return. The regular meeting of the Kelly Creek Parent-Teachers as sociation was held at the school house on Friday. The members were glad to learn that the wir ing has been completed on the schoolhouse and that as soon as permission is received from Washington, D. C, the lights may be turned on. There is a pos sibility that this permission will be withheld until after the war.
