I asked Ralph Howard to figure It up for me and this la what I found: We can put in a couple of doors, fix up the windows, In stall plenty of electric outlets and cover the walla and celling . . . Either with Johns Manvilla planking and tile board, or the best grade of knotty pine . . . And the cost would be about $24 month for a 12 by 18 room. And that, If you'll stop to think, Is much loss than 'the usual monthly car payment , . . Which won't be troubling you for some time. Contracts can run 18 months, and that saves quite a bit In In terest which, In the old days, had to bo figured in the 36 month contracts , . , Now, you know,- the government limits the length of contracts. The "nothing down" arrange ment still holds, however, on FHA loans made for moderniz ing or remodeling . . . The rec reation room could be built be fore, you had to put out a cent.
