Holiday Bazaar Plans Made by St. Paul Guild Announces Dates on Early Fall Calendar With Homecoming Tea Slated September 25 First of the holiday bazaars has been scheduled by St. Paul's Guild, the date set for Saturday, December the sixth. In the parish house at Eighth and Jefferson streets. The women are departing from their usual custom of luncheon and cards, and have made plans for a tea to follow bridge. A lim it of twenty tables has been set. These plans were made at Sorority Has Part Sigma Kappa Enter tains Guests in Peli can Room An interesting affair of Thursday evening was the dinner party given by mem bers of Sigma Kappa sorority in the party room of the Peli can cafe. Guests were invited for the evening, members of the younger group planning to leave this coming week for the University of Oregon and Ore gon State college. Plans for the evening were made by Miss Faye Steinseifer, Miss Ruth Hendricks, Miss Karlene. Schubert, and Mrs. Robert E. Thompson. Other members of the sor ority Include Mrs. Theodore Fish and Mrs. Howard Dick son of Tulelake, IViss Dorothy Nelson, Mrs. Dwight French, and Mrs. Victor E. O'Neill. The table was attractive with the sorority colors, ma roon and lavender, with crest placecards and a center ar rangement of asters. Tall white candles completed the decor. The new arrival has been named Sondra Lee. a potluck luncheon held at one o'clock Thursday, in the parish house. Thirty old and new members gathered to gether and the hostesses were Mrs. Thomas Hampton. Mrs. D. V. Kuykendall, and Mrs. W. B. Hendrickson. Further interesting plans were made by the group when they discussed a home coming tea to be given at the home of the retiring presi dent, Mrs. R. Henry Ander son, on the Merrill road the afternoon of Thursday, Sep tember the twenty-fifth be tween the hours of three and five o'clock. This affair is for old, new and present mem bers of the guild, one of the oldest organizations in the city. Receiving the guests that day will be the newly elect ed officers, Mrs. Charles F. Glover of Klamath Fall were married at a pretty can dlelight ceremony September the second In the Presbyterian church of State College, Penn sylvania. The Rev. Edward S. Jones read the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Ott of State College, formerly of Corvallis, Oregon, attended the couple. Mrs. Glover attended Oregon State college and is a member of Kappa Delta and Orchesis. Mr. Glover was graduated from Oregon State college with the class of 1941 and has begun work on his master's degree at the Pennsylvania State college. He is a member of Sigma Nu and Kappa Kappa Psi. They are now at home at 908 West Beaver avenue, State College, Pennsylvania. LIONESS CLUB MAKES PLANS FOR FALL TEA Members of the Lion's auxil iary held their first meeting of the season last Monday eve ning. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Paul Skeen, Mrs. E. Robinson, Mrs. Matt Finnegan and Mrs. A. Heup. Preceeding dessert bridge, a business meeting was held. The forthcoming benefit tea, sponsored by the Lion's auxil iary, was discussed and Mrs. E. Robinson, chairman of the event, outlined plans for the affair. The club also pledged their time and effort to one day a week at the Red Cross work rooms and each member voiced desire to give whatever time she could to the project.
