Selling of May ond July wheat was bused part ly on favorable crop prospects. A sharp reduction In dealers' bids to country points for wheat unsettled tho market. Bids wero lowered 4 cents on rc.1 wheat and 1 cent on hard to equal to tho December prlcv. Some No. 2 red sold at 93c hard to equal to the Decembtr price. Some No. 2 red sold at 93c here while, No. 2 hard brought 91c, with spot prices off 1-1 i cents. The Chicago loan rate basis on both grades Is 81 cents. Wheat closed !c lower to ic higher compared with yesterday, December 801-ic, May 85Mc; corn l-lc down, December 60c, May 3011c; oats l-lc down. 8. F. Fine half and three eighth blood South American wools were receiving some de mand at steady prices for worst ed types. Woolen types of South American wools were slow and prices were inclined to ease. Lit tle business was being transacted In domestic wools and quotations were somewhat irregular. STATE REVEI.UETO TOP 100 MILLION SALEM, Dec. 13 UP) Oregon's revenue from all sources during the two years beginning next July 1 will total 1109,070,988, of which the federal government will contribute 19.4 per cent and the counties 4.6 per cent Budget Director David Eccles estimated Thursday. The total of all state fund will be 887,709,398, of which $17,748,880 will be raised by taxes and fees for general pur poses, 801,126,474 from taxes, licenses and fees for special pur poses, $8,649,880 from revenue from state-owned enterprises, and $180,160 from Investments. The federal government will contribute $16,884,873, compar ed with $4,980,689 by the coun ties. The counties, however, are repaid their share. U. S. NATIONAL . , BUYS CORVALUS BANKING HOUSE PORTLAND, Ore., Dec. 13 Announcement was made today of the purchase of the First Na tional Bank of Corvalli by the United States National Bank of Portland. Deposits In the for. mer totaled In excess of 21 mil lion dollars while the United States National list it deposits in excess of 199 millions. The Corvallis bank has long occupied an important position in the cen tral Willamette valley. It was organized in 1890 by M. S. Wood cock who served as the bank's president until 1928 when he wa succeeded by his son, C. H. Woodcock. This acquisition give the United States National bank its 29th unit In Oregon five ot these being In Portland and the others in the following Important cen ters, Oregon City, McMlnnvllle, Saem, Mt. Angel, Albany, Junc tion City, Eugene, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford, Klamath Falls, St. Helens, Astoria, The Dalles, Redmond, Pendleton, Athena, LaGrandc, Ontario, and this new one at Corvallis.
