Northern Lines Coming To Stimulate Building In All Parts Of City Many Developments in Prospect, Awaiting Fa vorable Word of Interstate Commerce Commission Regarding Entry On-the "decision 'of the interstate commerce commis sion relative, to the entrance of the Northern Lines into Klamath, hangs the expenditure of thousands upon thousands of dollars in building investment, in this city. . . If, and when the word comes, "the Oregon Trunk wins," the head gates to a river of treasure will be open ed and transformed in Klamath Fall3 into business buildings and residences. V'.' '. There are, and it is no secret, at least ten large build ing ventures which are hanging fire pending the rail decision. The investors are not quite willing to sink their money into Klamath, unless they are assured of uv70 railroads. Actual construction at this time Is confined largely to building of substantial homes. One of the nicest homes will be erected by Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Voye on the corner of Fourth and Wash ington. The new structure will bj of old English design. The house In which Mr. and Mrs. Voye are now living will be moved away from its present site to a site 50 feet dis tant, facing on Washington, be tween Third and Fourth. Work on Yh"e" new1 homo will begin at once. According to prevailing report among real estate circles, Mrs. Flora Young is planning to construe! a larsje apartment house on Broad street. Definite announcement has been lacking pending final arrange ments on the project. One of the first building projects to start Is that of the development of the Methane property on Main street between Third and Fourth, directly across from the court house.
