"To my mind It is to the best interest of the whole state to assist the banking institutions in the coal regions," he commented. OBITUARY MRS. IDA M. BROWNE Mrs. Ida M. Browne, age 74, died yesterday morning at the famiiy home, 1604 Melrose, after an ex tended illness. The funeral will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morn ing from the Whitlock chapel, with Rev. J. Henry 'ihoman of the Epis copal .church officiating. Mrs. Browne was tho widow of the late R. H. Urcvne. She ii survived by two sons, R. W., ami C. B. Browne, both of this city, and four grandchildren. She was a native of No York. For the past eleven years she had made Klamath Falls her home.
