friendly country in connection' with
the voyage of the schooner W. H. Tal
bot from San Francisco to Shanghai
with a supposed shipment of 5000
rifles and thousands of rounds of
ammunition for sale to Chinese rev
olutionists and others. Tho shipment

OBITUARY
MRS. IDA M. BROWNE
Mrs. Ida M. Browne, age 74,
died yesterday morning at the famiiy
home, 1604 Melrose, after an ex
tended illness. The funeral will be
held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morn
ing from the Whitlock chapel, with
Rev. J. Henry 'ihoman of the Epis
copal .church officiating.
Mrs. Browne was tho widow of
the late R. H. Urcvne. She ii
survived by two sons, R. W., ami
C. B. Browne, both of this city, and
four grandchildren. She was a
native of No York. For the past
eleven years she had made Klamath
Falls her home.
