Shute has publicly offered to re purchase any of the Orenco bonds which he has sold. He declared that these bonds had been certified to him as valid by a responsible firm of Boston bond atorneys and by the officials of. Orenco. Investigators who have been look ing into the Orenco bond situation have reported that they have found that about $500,000 bonds were printed for the city. An earlier report given out by one of District Attorney Myers' investigators that the bonds printed totalled 1990,000 has not been verified.
