Another "Railroad Rumor Is Spiked Wakefield Garage Site is Not to be Used for Oregon ; Trunk Depot One more beautiful railroad depot site has gone glimmering, due to the ' resumption . ot work on the Wakefield garage at the corner of Second and Main streets. For two weeks work on this structure has been suspended and for the post week it was, according to old lady Dame Rumor, to be the sito of the Oregon "Trunk! depot. The brick had been sold, the cemont hauled away and the prk of demolition had all but started.. But, unfortunately, the whole thing was just rumor and a poor, baseless rumor, at that. Now the cat Is out of the bag and A. F. Graham started his crew at work again today. The suspension was due to an alteration in the plans to .meet the suggestion of the en gineers and efficiency men of Dodgo Brothers. As a result some slight alterations will be made in the build ing. Work will proceod with all the speed anit efficiency for which Graham has bocomo noted and in the matter of a few weeks tho building will be occupied by II. S. Wakefield with bis Dodge agency and service force. And thus Is laid to rcBt another terminal site for the Oregon Trunk. Children on Way to O. A. C.
