The . early part of the month was tilled with plendld promises of Spring, com log to stay, but contrary April sent showers plentifully, whether cr no she had May flowers In her mind. Spring activ ities are - in the , air; the odor of spring , pettr.eates through every household . and the clutches of Old Man Winter have gone, to be for gotten for months and months In the' pleasant basking of sunshine. Although Lake, of the Woods was . reported to. have been enclosed In the crip of snow, the warm rays of the sun have melted the white cov ering and the road Is reported as passable once more. Several resi dents of Klamath Falls have epent the week-ends of the past month in their summer cabins, especially oc- : cupjlng, them since the opening of fishing season. - - , :' CONCERT GIVEN ON FRIDAY SIGHT Singing to a, capacity ' house, George Maddox, famous tenor, as sisted by.
