Dearborn and Ed Farrlngton of Bishop, California, arrived here ( last 'Tueriay. These men represent ' ! number of farmers who are seck ! ing a new location, following the sale of their property to the City of I Los Angeles. . . Slrce last Tuesday Tsarborn and ! Farrlngton havo beeir making a careful investigation of the various sections of Klamath county and ore returning to their homos today, car rying with them a wealth of infor mation tor those who sent them here. In speaking of his visit Mr. Dearborn said: "Ever since the City of Los Angeles appropriated the waters of Owens river, the farmers of the val ley hare been trying to secure a set tlement. - Negotiations have been carried on almost continuously, "First one representative and then another would appear On the scene, the last stating that he was not bound by tho acts of the former. Clim atic conditions and methods of agriculture are almost Identical and H they come here it will mean one of the greatest steps taken towards the ultimate development of Klam ath county as a dairy section. Owens Valley Is about 75 miles long and 7 miles wide and the popu lation is in the neighborhood of 5,000. with the right k.'nd of co operation with Mr'.. Head, most of this population can be transferred to Klamath county. ' VARIED CHARGES ALLEGED Adel Skellock Brines Suit Divorce In Circuit Court For All the appropriate charges that are usually preferred In a divorce complaint, and a few more thrown In for good measure, were included in a complaint filed yesterday by Adel Skellock, asking that she be divorced from John Skellock. Mrs. Skellock charges: (1) that her husband frequently . cursed at her; (2) that he frequently struck her and kicked her;, (3) that on one oc casion, her husband struck her In the head with a knife; (4) that he was unfaithful to her; (5) that he was in the habit of getting drunk; (6) that he prevailed upon her to buy a car for 1200 which she was not allowed to use.
