AT THE PINE TREE The Congressional Medal of Honor awarded to Richard O'Nell of the IGSth Infantry, the- most de corated man In the country, was used' In Richard Dix's latest Para mount picture, 'A Man Must Live", coring to tho1 Pine Tree Theatre tonight. Tho medal was borrowed by Paramount studio officials from O'Nell, for use in a scene in the pic ture wherein the .Congressional Medal is awarded to the parents of a hero of the World War. Realizing the inestimable value of such a token of the Government's gratitude, and knowing that It Is almost im possible to replace such a medal In case of loss, Paul 81oane, the di rector, detailled a special man to guard it throughout the time requir ed to make the scenes. A Covered-wagon, drawn by gal loping horses, was (scheduled to turn at a certain spot and disappear over a precipice.- Howevor, before reaching the spot, 'the wagon turned at an angle where safety prepara tions for the players had not been arranged, and both Osborne and Miss Appleton, were thrown over the cliff resulting in painful Injuries and complete destruction of tho wagon.
