At present there U not a single piece of literature that can be sent to anyone who may rare enough about this part of the slate to, make Inquir ies, and that such la the case doe not apeak vary highly for the ability and tatdllgence of the rltl-ens of this commaalty. That a county Ilka Klamath and a city of the natural advantage of Klamath Falls shou.d not have an abaadance of excellent literature tell lac of the resource of this locaRty Is a disgrace that the baalae men should not allow to prevail. Every person who comes to this city means Just that much more moaey apaat here, and to per cent of what la earaed In any community Is at la the same locality. People to kaow about Klamath Falls. We ought to get out a good circular or pamphlet, or both, aad I am willing to do my part toward that ead. There Isn't a day but what the real estate men of this city receive letters asking about this elty'or coun ty, aad there should be some means of satisfying those requests.. The re organisation of the reclamation serr ico was discussed today at a three hour conference between President Taft aad Secretary Bellinger. Although no oBclal Information could be obtained. It was reported that the future plans for reclamation do not Include the retention or Fred erlck K. Newell aa the director of the service. Mr. Bellinger would not dl. cuas this phase In aay way. It Is known, however, that the secretary has long regarded Mr. Newell aa In Imlral to hi plaas for the reclame tlon service. Mr. Newell has openly opposed Mr. Bellinger, and Mr. Bat linger in turn has publicly stated that ne ma not regard Mr. Newell as the taan for the place occupied by him.
