Not only Is the road retarded by llarrlman as the most practical for routing his Portland-Ban FrancUco traffic, but It also onablcs him to, reach an Immensely productlvo area oa the edge ot Central Oregon, which Is without transportation facilities. Ihn other pro posed route contemplates an exten sion also from tho Oregon Eastern from Odell, southeast ot Natron, through the central part ot the Stat to the same objective point selected tor the more southerly extension.
