The candidates can not be asked to buy tickets to a ball or entertainment or to join any club. No corporation or stockholder of any corporation can contribute to the cam paign fund of either party. It is also made unlawful for any candidate, or person to wear badges or buttons near the polls on election day. Any man who is caught trying to influence a vote on election day is liable to a fine of from $25 to $100 and for the second offense to imprisonment in the county jail. All campaign literature must bear the name of the author and that of the printer who printed it. It is provided that a candidate shall not have his name on the ballot unless he filts his itemized statement of expenses a certain length of time before the election. Neither shall he be given his certificate of election unless he files his statement following the general election. It is also provided that any district attorney who fails prosecute for violation of the law shall be subject to for feiture of his office.
