STORE MAKE CHANGES IN BY-LAWS Klamath Water Users' Association Vote to Hold Reg ular Annual Meeting in June The result of the vote on the amendments to the by-laws of the VYuter Users' Association was announced at the be ((inning of the meeting this morning and showed that all but Section 2, of Article V., had been passed. The amendments are as follows: That aoction 1, Article II of aaid Hy-lawa be amended to read as follows: The annual meeting- of the atockholdcra of the Association ahall be held at Klamath Falls, Ore., at a place to be designated by the Director!, and stated In the notico hereafter provided for, on the Friday Immediately preceding the first Saturday in June of each year, at the hour of 2 o'clock p. m. (The first annual meeting under Ihis Ily-law ahall be held in the year 1909): That Section 2, Article II of said By-Uwa be amended to read as follows: Notice of such annual meeting ahall be given by publication In at least three newspaper, published weekly, within the Irriga tion district. Mlae Mae Worden rendered an excellent piano tolo, which Mas followed by the salutatory address delivered by Mln Lena Smith Barnum. Alex Martin, III, followed with an oration on "True Success." Mr. Martin showed familiarity wjth his subject and in hU delivery ol hit production demon strated thai he is poisessed ol talents tbal iboubl receive attention in UmUbw ol higher education. It must be said llut ol the young gentlemen of the claas of VMS, he is the boy orator. Mia Kleio Applegate, In her usual manner, rendered beautifully a violin tolo. This was followed by an oration by Maud Kitella Nail on the subject "Broaden Your Horizcu." In the prep aration ol her production Miss Nail ihowed deep thought and hard work. Miss Fannie Kldora Virgil gave an able oration on "Auld Lang Syne." Her delivery wui goi-j and the number re ceived the beany applause that it well merited. Misses Faye llogue and Haiel ltolfe, both members of tho graduating claas, next gave a piano duet that waa lully appreciated by the audience. Mr. Perry DeLap in the preparation of bis oration on "The New Era" showed marked familiarity with the develop ment of the West and a thorough knowl edge of the current topic and important questions. His oration was an abl production and the result ol deep study and hard work. Mr. Chandler McCaoley preaented a well written oration on the "Pacific's Part In the World' Coat. inerce," and following thit Mr. Burg .Mason rendered a vocal solo that- do lighted lto audience. Miss Winifred Withrowgavean excel lent oration on "The Influence of Envi ronment," and in it delivery she showed considerable talent. Mia Minnie Ro gene Barnum gave a good oration oa The English Idea ol America," and following thla Mrs. Oliver Gate asg a solo that vu treat to the ndlce, the violin obligate by Mi Elsie Apple gate adding greatly to it beauty.
