It appears that D. V. Kuykendall, of Klamath Falls, was elected to the office for this ditrtct comprising the couuties of Klamath and Lake. Jlis home is in Klamath Falls, 100 miles from Lakeview. It is a physical im possibility for one man to attend to the demands made upon the district attorney's office for these counties of such great area, and when distances of travel are feo great, and the time consumed in inakiDg trips ou official business. Noting is more patent thau that these two couuties .each should have an attorney to attend to matters that are liable at auy tixe to come, before the district attorney's office, j While this law does not equire that the Incumbent of tne office shall appoint a deputy, it Das been the custom of former occupantd of the office to do so, as a matter of public convenience.
