Nevertheless it is a happy season for almost ev eryone. People appear to mel low and think of tne signific ance of the day we celebrate, the birth of Jesus, so many, many years ago. It truly does have a definite effect on peo ple. I often wonder just why people can t continue to have this same spirit all during the year. It is a season tor forgive ness. It is a lime when old ani mosities should be forgotten. Those who have had differences with their neighbors and towns people should forgive, as it is in the spirit of forgiving that we ourselves are forgiven. Christmas carols are heard all over in the towns through out the country. They are pleas ant to hear, and add much to the holiday season, Christmas programs this year have been somewhat curtailed by the in- cidence of sickness, Those who are ill at this time, we wish a and hope speedy recovery, that all those who are plan- ning to make trips to homes uf relatives at distant points, will drive carefully.
