Ralph Downer and Harley Scott have been busy shearing lambs and spraying their sheep for ticks. The Floyd Bassetts received a phone message early Tuesday morning in formin gthem of the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bassett. The baby is Bassett’s first grandchild. W. W. Forrest had x-rays in Salem last week, Forrest hasn't been well for quite a while, He has been under the doctors care for some time, Ben McCall made a trip to central Oregon for hay the last of the week, Fred Lindemann is repairing the I barn at the Ring place. He also plans to remodel the house, put in plumbing and some other changes. Mrs. George Huffman and daugh ter Janet were callers at Mrs. J. H. Johnstons Monday. Haseman is recuperating at the home of his son and daughter-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Haseman, after spending several days in a Salem hospital. Sgt. Ray Monroe is reported by his wife Maney Monroe to be on .his way home from Germany. Mrs. Monroe expects to receive word soon that he has received his release and is return ing to Idanha.
