MILL CITY ENTERPRISE, JAM ARY 13. 19« — LYONS Seivice held its first meeting of the year at the George Huffman home Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Alex Bod- eker was in charge of the business meeting and Mrs. George Cli.pfel led I the devotions. Many plans were discussed for the coming yer. It was voted to sendîlO for Suttle Lake. Mr*. Wallace Power was named chairman of the Sp’ritual Life. Present were Mesdames Albert Ring, Laurence Walworth, Loren Chamberlain, George Clipfell, Wal lace Power, Roy Huber, Floyd Bas sett, Alex Bodeker, Mrs. Daisy John ston, Mrs. Anna Johnson and the hos tess, Mrs. Huffman. Clyde Bressler received word of the death of his aunt, Mrs. John Bressler of Halsey. Due to the se- ' vere cold weather and icy roads he was unable to attend funeral services held there Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Heioeck spent the week end with relatives in Hills- boro and Portland. Stuents returning to Oregon State College Tuesday were Willard Berry, Juanita and Duane Downing, Imogen Roye and Billy Prichard. William Prichard. Mrs. Charles Pow- er was hired as musical and free pl^y instructor, giving the group one teacher at hand every school day. Other mother will continue rotation instruction in »toiy and art. The financial arangements will be as before, exceipt that no discounts will be allowed for absences. A n y mother may take her turn at teach ing or may pay on a straight basis. The kindergarten has been very successful, despite the weather. Santa Claus b ought a new set of rythm instrments.
