Ben Scott entertained mem bers of her Sunday School class at breakfast Sunday morning at her home, later all attending Sunday School. Those enjoying the break fast were Betty Jane Stark, Shirley and Florence Smeltzer. Maxine Bennett, Joan McCormick, Juanita and Pauline McCristy, Dolores and Joanne Fultz, Patty Smith, Doris Davenport, Carolyn K e r r , Elli Nelson and Jean Scott. A few of Jean Scott's friends dropped in on her 7th birthday last Friday and enjoyed a few games and birthday cake. Friends were Shirley and Florence Smeltzer. Maxine Bennett. Marion Wuner, Roberta Wilm, Bonny Lou Clark, Georgia Nichols and Judy Scott. Mike Long had the misfortune to cut his arm, having infection set in. which has been quite pain ful. Mrs. Bess Herrington’s grand daughter, Barbara Browning, left the first of the week with her uncle, Mr. Browning, of Coulee, and grandmother, Mrs. Browning, o f Seattle. Mrs. Ethel Modic of Coulee is visiting her son-in-law and daugh ter. Mr. and Mrs. Bob \Vineland. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kelsay and family spent Saturday in Portland on business. Miss Maizie Burt, who has been visiting her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Harri son, left Monday for Perrydale. Ore.. where she is employed as teacher. Her mother. Mrs. Mary Burt, left Wednesday for McMinn ville. Jimmie Phelps spent several days visiting his sister. Mrs. Jean Hardy, and her grandmother. Mrs. Kate Hardy. Miss Jane Geitner returned to Hood River Tuesday after u week's visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Roy N’ ortan of Pasco and Mrs. Stella Jessup of W alia Walla visited over New A ear’s at the home of Mrs. Agnes Brennan. Dewey Merrill and son, Dewey, of Portland, visited his brother, Jim Merrill, and family Monday. Joe Pohl of Bridal Veil visited Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Miestrell and family Monday. Miss Dolly Grant, who has been hour.e guest of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hyde left Tuesday for a week’s stay in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Waite left the first of the week for an indefi nite stay in Portland. Mrs. Waite is planning on spending the re mainder of the winter in town. Mrs Karl Reuterskiold and Mrs. Alhin Sundsten and children of Boardman spent a dav in Portland last week on business. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Johnson of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Art Jan. 6-7 Fri.. Sat.
