Texas, ac claimed the youngest mother in the world 18 months ago, recently gave birth to another baby. She is shown with Robert Lee (left), and Estella Alice (right). The first baby was born in January, 1936, before the child- mother was twelve years old. The second was born less than a month after the m other was thirteen. NEW SENATE LEADER Russian Flyers Feted After Record Breaking Hop Dr. Jean Piccard, famed strato- spherist who miraculously escaped death when his “balloon cluster” craft crashed flaming to earth near Lansing, Iowa, after a takeoff from Rochester, Minn. He estim ated he had reached 11,000 feet before start ing his descent. The scientist was carried on his flight by a double cluster of 80 small balloons, one Jubilant after their record breaking non-stop flight of 6,262 miles from Moscow to a cow pasture near San cluster above the other.
