Convertible ballast care are for handling gravel, crushed rock and other materials uaed in railroad con struction, as well as coal, sugar beets, and similar commodities. One thousand new automobile cars coating »3,000 each, »3,000,000 for the entire order, are bring purchased to transport the greatly increased number of automobiles moving over the Union Pacific. Three cars are of solid steel construction, very staunchly built and with special facilities for loading, un loading and the safety of motor cars in transit. They are fire proof, burglar proof and virtually Indestructible.
