McClain, of the local Woman’s club, is figuring prominently in activities of the state federation this year. Mrs. McClain is specialist on thrift in the state organization. The Hood River Woman’s club held an interesting session yesterday af ternoon, when various heads of city and county departments addressed them in 10-minute talks, giving the women an idea of tlie needs in city and county government.
