Collins, who was manager of the Smuggler-Union mine at Telluride, Col., was shot through a window of bis oflloe on tbe night of November 19, 1902, when playing cards with frieude. Steve Adams was twice tried in Idaho courts for tbe murder of Fred Tyler, tbe first trial resulting in no verdict aud the second in an aqiuttal.
