1 HOOD RIVER QLAOIER. TflPASDAY, APRIL 50, 1S08V QUESTION BOX Questions relutini to tho Kitchen or Home by our tubunbera will be an swered in this column. Address letters to 8ali.v Lkk, care Glacier, 'looil River, Oregon When a Urld la Sot a Bride. Some London papers have been dls eufmiog tho puhject of honeymoons and have decided that a bride ceases to be a "bride" and becomes a "wife" after eix weeks of matrimony. This is absurd, because there are some wise women who are brides all the days of their lires, and there are some foolish women who cease to be brides or eren wives twenty-foni bourn after (be wedding. No limit can be sot upon the honeymoon. II may go down with a dull, sickening thud after a week of uiariied lite, or it may shine on merrily to the golden wedding. A woman may know that she has tented to be a bride only: When she finds herself saying on oomplimeutary things to her husband. The Hint time her husband criticises ber trockp. Wheu she discovers that she is jeal ous. When he glows economical witb bis k inset). When she begins to nag. When be beoomes tsar cast io about the food. When she does not mind coming to breakfast in curl papers. When he tella her how pretty some other woman looks. When she begins to remember the virtues of the man she didn't marry. When bo begins to eulogize his mother Wheu a meal becomes so quiet that she can plau a whole frock between the courses. Wheu bo begins to go to bis club. When ftbo begius to hunt up ber old tiieuds and oujoys calling on them. Wheu be come9 iu late for dinner. Wheu she forgets to come home from the matinee iu time to greet him before diuuer.
