4 J us TUKSIMY, Eagles In Winnemucca Tournament First of two December tour neys which will help shed light on the Rogue League basketball race is scheduled this week end with, however, just two Rogue schools participating. Eagle Point High will he one of I hp guests and Lakevicw the host team for the event and they will play in the second game on Friday night. Winnemucca, Nev. and Brookings of the Sunset loop, vie in the first game. Fri day losers and Friday winners are Saturday night rivals. Four of the five Southern Ore gon Conference schools have basketball games this week. Mcdford will he at Willamette High (Eugene) and Crater at Lebanon Friday and Saturday evenings. Grants Pass enter tains Tillamook both nights. Kla math Falls will be host to Bend on Friday. St. Mary's of Mcdford will have a two - night week end stand as home against another parochial school. The Crusaders oppose St. Francis of Eugene. The Saints are menlorcd by Ed Hummel, a former St. Mary's roach. Phoenix High has a single game this week, entertaining Myrlle Creek on Saturday. Rullp Falls varsity is In play Eagle Point this evening at Eagle Point and will meel St. Mary's jayvces at Mcdford on Friday in the prelim to the SM St. Francis game. McKcnzic accomplished his feat in open bowling and thereby missed the monetary and merchandise awards of league play under sanction of the American Bowling Congress. He will get a trophy from the Oregon State Bowling Proprietors Associa tion. McKenzie's 300 was in a practice round on two alleys, Nos. 15 and IB. He'd gone to Roxy for a make-up game in the Coca Cola Invitational Singles League and his rival was late. Dick reported the ball perfect in the pocket on all 12 strikes. Dick carries a 201 average in the Coke league and has averages of 190 in Ihe Mcdford Classic League and 187 in the Commercial League at Mcdford Lanes. His highest previous game was 2R7 in the Northwest Tournament at Tacoma, Wash., in 1951. McKenzie is employed at Mcdford Lanes. McLoughlin Care of Lincoln Savage Ninth, eighth and seventh grade McLoughlin Junior High basketball teams look care of their counterparts from Lincoln Savage Junior High of Murphy last night. The games were played at McLoughlin. The ninth grade final was 61 33, the eighth 36-20 and the seventh, in which McLnughlin's "black" team played, 36-18. Quarter scores of the ninth grade game were 11-1, 28-11 and 43-28 for McLoughlin. The home team was sharpest in the first half, while the visitors had a strong third quarter. Lincoln ravage employed a good zone defense, forcing McLoughlin to shoot from the outside, hut the McLoughlin boys responded with a 43 per cent average frnm the field. McLoughlin enjoyed 12-3, 24-13 and 31-17 quarter advantages in the eighth grade game. Jay Beach had 12 poinls for Mc Loughlin. and Steve Wilkins and Pele Thanos each pulled down 11 rebounds.
