Pm 476-4J4) OREGON Crater High Comets Overtake Fortuna's Cage Quintet 58-54 CENTRAL POINT - Crater High's Comets, after trailing much of the time, jumped in front in the final seconds Satur day night to trip the Fortuna, Calif., Huskies basketball team, 58-54 at Fortuna. Fortuna had a 54-52 lead with a minute to play. Mike Turner flipped in two free shots to tie up the scuffle, the Huskies lost the ball on a violation with 311 seconds on the clock and with eight seconds lefl Darryl Sum merfield hit a short jump shot to give Crater a 56-54 lead. Summerfield was fouled on Ihe play. He missed the free throw and Turner got the re bound. Turner passed to Sum merfield, who was fouled with two seconds to go. The Comet veteran tossed in two tries to establish the final margin. As in several games involving teams of Ihe area this week end, free shots were the decid ing scoring factor. The Comets put in 75 per cent of theirs, hit ling 24 of 32. Fortuna made just two of 10. Crater shot .492 from the field bul pul in just 17 field baskets while Forluna was getting 2fi.
