meuwhw mm, tribune, medford, obegon SUNDAY, DECEMBER i, 1W Paunch Grid Bowl Tiff On GP Field It's not to be confused with Rose, Sugar, Orange, Cotton or Dust Bowls. That's what they are saying about the Paunch Bowl. Who ever "they" are. Anyway the Paunch Bowl is to be played at 2 p. m. today at Caveman Field in Grants Pass. It is supposed to be a football game but someone has said, "Football game? Ho-ho-ho!" This contest is to match the Medford Junior Chamber of Commerce against the Grants Pass Active 20-30 Club. Black Nights There is an admission charge. Very important persons will pay the most. Proceeds will go to the United Fund of each com munity. The Medford club has been dubbed the Black Nights and the Climate city aggregation the Neanderthals. It is reported that the Jaycees have been called the Black Nights (notice, no K) because they have left everybody pretty well in the dark about their team. They have said that they have accepted the challenge and that the game will be played. A pic ture has been taken showing three of the players drawing equipment. The jaycees have even produced a roster with a bunch of nicknames and some imposing weights. But they've not given out a hit of information about a pos sible starting lineup or about their practice sessions. .lAVCKB ROSTER: renter "Jungle" Jim Butler, Jan. fillarHs Stan Hahn, 210; Davc (Dynamttej ORriahl. 2W); Loten OI en. 180; Gary iTarzan!
