A crystal crown held her veil and she carried a bouquet of white car nations. Miss Margo Shreeve was maid of honor. Bridesmaids wore Gloria Connie Lane, sister of the bride, and Miss Rita Garcia, Ely, Nev., her cousin. Flower girls were Linda Susan Lane, another sister, and Christine Marcus, Reno, Nev., a cousin. They wore sapphire blue satin dresses with bouffant skirts and carried pink carnations. Jerry Wright served as best man and ushers were Clinton Lane, brother of the bride, and Jimmy Finney. Groomsmen were Frank Lyons and Wayne Gallespie. For her xlaugnter s wedding and reception which followed at the Girls Community Club, Mrs. Lane chose a green sheath dress. Mrs. Van Riper wore a blue suit. Their corsages were while carnations. Miss Fay Alhright cut and served the cake assisted by Mrs. Jerry Armstrong and Mrs. Wllhur Hinkle nresided at the 'I punch howl. The double ring ceremony was performed bv the Rev. B. J. Holland at the Van Ness Avenue home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stubblefield, in the presence ot 18 relatives ana close friends. The bride, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Petri, 1!)6 Central Avenue, is a graduate of Ashland High School, as is her husband. For her wedding the bride wore a street length sheath of beige brocade with gold acces sories and a corsage of white chrysanthemums and stephan olis. Her only attendant, Mrs. Lee Barton, Beaverton, chose a dark blue wool suit with match ing hat and a white chrysanthe mum corsage. Gordon Maurer of Medford was Mr. Stubblefield's best man. The mantlepiece before which the weddina service was read was banked with yellow chrys anthemums and lighted tapers and the same gold and white motif prevailed in decorations of the table where wedding cane and Dunch were served. Mrs, Gordon Maurer presided at the punch bowl and the bride's mother, Mrs. Petri, cut the cake. After a week's wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., Mr. and Mrs. Stubblefield will make Iheir home at 111 S. Laurel Street, Ashland. The bridegroom is employed by Hie M. C. Linin ger Company of Medford. Among out-of-town guests at tending the wedding were the family of the bridegroom's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Stubblefield and two children from Cottage Grove. Another brother, Airman James Stubble field, congratulated the couple bv telephone from Barksdale Air Force Base, Shreveport, La. Supervisor To Be Speaker Miss Gladys Durrand, elemen tary school supervisor in Dis trict 549C, will speak on "The Oregon Plan in Action" at the Monday, December 9, meeting of the Jackson County Retired Teachers Association. The association will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Girls Commun ity Club. Music will be presented by a group from the Medford schools under the direction of Dr. Jus tin Dyrud. Neff, 2172 West Main Street, Medford, were wed in 7 o'clock evening rites. Novem ber 23. The Rev, Loyce Carver performed the ceremony in the Medford Apostolic Faith Church. Trygve Jansen, Los Angele. an uncle of the bride, gave her in marriage. The bride's floor length gown was made with fit ted lace bodice and long pointed sleeves; the scalloped lace neck line was trimmed with seed pearls and sequins. The full ny lon overskirt was trimmed with bows on the front and back and was edged with lace. Her elbow length veil was held by satin roses and she carried a bouquet of white carnations with deep red rosebuds. The candlelighlers were Nan cy and Dennis Robinson, Grants Ashland Man To Make Visit CENTRAL POINT - George Findley, Ashland, member of the Home Endowment Commit tee of the grand chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will make his official visit to Nevita Chap ter, on Tuesday, December 10, at 8 o'clock in the Central Point Masonic Hall. Mrs. Ralph John son and J. E. Vincent, worthy matron and patron will preside. Following the meeting, the tra ditional Christmas party will take place. L. Russell, 202 Kings Way. Mrs. Lloyd Mc ("ashen is the association presi dent. On Thursday, Pocembor 12, instead of on the regular dale, the Christian Service Circle of the association will meet. The bride's attendants wore floorlength satin gowns of tur quoise blue satin with long sleeves and rounded necklines. Their veils of net were gathered to roses with velvet streamers and had been made by the honor attendant. Their bouquets were of carnations, the honor attend ant's bouquet in pink and the bridesmaids' in white. The flower girl and Nancy Robinson wore light blue satin frocks. Raymond Neff, brother of the bridegroom, was best man and ushers were Rod Millard, San Francisco, Ray Robinson, Grants Pass, both brothers-in-law of the bridegroom; and Daniel An drews and Derold Owen. The church was decorated with white chrysanthemums with pink carnations. Organist was Miss Robert Re- ule, Portland. Mrs. Daniel Eke- lund, Portland, and Warren Han lin were soloists. Reception Held Some 175 guests attended the ceremony and reception given by the bridegroom's parents in Girls Community Club. Mrs. Re ule played background organ music. The wedding cake was made hy the bridegroom's mother and decorated hy Mrs. Joyce Lull. The couple made their wed ding trip to California. With her traveling attire the bride wore a Norwegian designed sweater in green, gold and rust tones, which she had brought from Norway on her return from a recent trip. lhe bride received her edu cation at Rothaugenskole, Ber gen, Norway and had been em ployed as a power machine oper ator bv Shedrain Umbrella Com pany, Portland. A joint installation ceremony and dinner, gift ex changes and luncheons have been announced. York Rite Masons Crater Lake Chapter, Royal Arch Masons and Table Rock Council, Royal and Select Mas ters have conducted joint in stallation ceremonies for many years. This year the event is scheduled for Tuesday, Decem ber 10 in the Medford Masonic Temple. Preceding the ceremonies a covered dish dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the chapter and council furnishing the meat dish. The council will conduct a brief business meet ing before the installation. Irvin P. Patten will be in stalled excellent high priest of Crater Lake Chapter by the excellent companion, Ross F. Gilkison, assisted by the most excellent companion, V. A. Turpin as grand marshal, and excellent companion, Carl Oes treich as grand chaplain. Chester L. Fraker will be installed illustrious master of Table Rock Council by most il lustrious companion, Elton Waldron, assisted by illustri ous companion, John R. Pond as grand marshal and illustri ous companion, Glenn W. Smith, grand chaplain. Entertainment will be by the Shrine Chanters of Hillah Tem ple. This will be an open dinner and ceremony with all Masons, their families and guests in vited. Scottish Rile Women The annual Christmas lunch con and card party for Scottish Rite Women's Club members is to be held Monday, December 9 at 12 noon in the Medford Hotel, Mrs. H. C. Goldsmith, president, announced. Each member is to take a gift not to exceed $1 and a prize will be awarded to the one taking the most original gift. Mrs. Goldsmith, Mrs. Walt er Cummings and Mrs. Fred Purdin will be judges. Hostesses assisting M r s. Goldsmith will be Mrs. Ethel P. Root and Mrs. H. L. Al ford. The next club meeting is an nounced for January 13 in the Medford Masonic Temple. Kcamcs Chapter, OLS Reames Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star will meet for their annual Christmas party Thurs day, December 12 when a meet- Student Recital Planned at SOC ASHLAND - The music de partment of Southern Oregon College will present a student recital, Tuesday, December 10 in Britt lounge from 4-5:15 p.m. Recitalists will be piano stu dents of Mrs. Billie Kean; wood wind students of Dr. Glenn Matthews and voice students of Ray Tumblcson. Iownspeople are invited to attend the recital free of charge. Youngsters might drink to the very last drop with a mealtime show right from the mug. Reames Past Matrons Club The Christmas party for Reames Past Matrons Club will be held Monday, Decem ber 9 at 7:30 p.m., in the home of Mrs. John Esp, 889 Olympic Avenue. Those who attend should take exchange gifts and gifts for the Masonic and Eastern Star Home. Refreshments will be served and games are on the program. Craftsmen Add Items At Corner Twenty-eight seniors are par ticipating in the Evergreen Crafts project of the Rogue Valley Council on Aging. A wide variety of handcrafted items are for sale in the crafts men's corner at 35 East Main Street in the Colorama Paint Center. Three news eraftmen, who joined the group December 4, are Mrs. Clayton Walker, wash able teddy bears; Mrs. Grace Lyon, hand woven scarves, and Mrs. Henry Ditmanson, ceramic tile trivots and ashtrays. All three are from Medford. Three other craftsmen who have been selling articles in the shop in the past, have had new crafts accepted by the jury. Clifford Wilder, Grants Pass, has added a miniature sewing chair and a souvenir spoon rack, both of wood; Miss Ruth Nye, Christmas decorations, in cluding tiny decorated dolls for trees or gift packages; and Mrs. Ethel Shuck, leaf notes, note paper decorated with leaves from a variety of Oregon shrubs and trees.
