Huntington Doorway Beauty To Be Theme CENTRAL POINT "Beauty at the Doorway," will be theme for the Central Point Garden Club meeting Wednesday, De cember 4 in the home of Mrs. C. W. Anhorn. Mrs. Anhorn will be assisted for the 1:30 dessert luncheon by Mrs. Ran dall Kay and Mrs. Julius Lusky. The program, "Christmas Doorways," will be presented by Mrs. Fred Shere and Mrs. James Cornutt. Mrs. Anhorn will speak n the blue jay. Members are to take garden ers' gifts for an exchange, a traditional part of the Christ mas meetinc. mm Phoenix Couple To Attend -Commencement PHOENIX - Mr. and Mrs. Warren Fitch spent Thanksgiv ing Day with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Straus in Tulelake. Calif., j and from there left for Greeley, Colo. There they plan to attend commencement exercises De cember 6 at Colorado State Col lege when their son, Douglas Fitch, will be graduated. The Fitches' daughter, Mrs. Straus and their sons, Mark Fitch and Douglas Fitch attend ed Phoenix Grade School and Ashland High School. Douglas Fitch, who received a scholastic scholarship from Montrose, Colo., High school to the Colo rado State College, has accept ed a teaching position with the Cheyenne, Wyo., Junior High School. He will move there with his wife and two children be fore the Christmas holidays. Mark Fitch, who was gradu ated from Ashland High School received a baseball scholarship to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he attended for one term before entering the Army. He now is a cashier for the Southern and Colorado Rail way in Denver. Mrs. Straus also is an Ashland High School graduate. Warmed Cheese Loaf Unwraps More Easily When process cheese is very cold, the wrapper will some times cling to the cheese when the loaf or package is opened. If the cheese is allowed to warm up a little, the wrapper will peel off easily. Ceremony At Home Weds Pair CENTRAL POINT - Miss Marylin Fay Cameron became the bride of Thomas W. Hunting ton in a double ring ceremony read in the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Cameron, Jacksonville, longtime valley residents. The ceremony took place November 8 at 7 o'clock in the evening. The Rev. Charles R. McDonald of Medford St. Luke's Metho dist Church officiated. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Cameron, 111 South Ninth Street, Central Point, and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Olney L. Kendall, 936 Fifth Avenue, Gold Hill. Among the guests was the bride's other grandmother, Mrs. Myrtle Wright, Bigham Lane, Central Point. Bride Makes Gown Mr. Cameron gave his daugh ter in marriage. The bride's street-length dress with jacket was of bridal satin trimmed with lace. She wore a short veil and her flowers were small pink and white roses. The bride had made her gown. Mrs. Charles Cavin, who at tended the bride was dressed in pink taffeta with matching veil and her carnations were in pink and white. Donald Cameron, Jacksonville uncle of the bride, was best man. An archway of vines with mul ti-colored flowers and white bells formed the background for the ceremony. Some 50 guests attended the rites and reception which fol lowed in the Cameron home. Re freshments were served by Miss Shirley Best and Miss Judy Kropp, Central Point, cousins of the bride. The wedding cake had been made by Mrs. Harold Smith, Phoenix, aunt of the bride. Out-of-town guests included Mrs. E. E. Sullins, Hayward, Calif., aunt of the bride; Mrs. A. J. Bell, San Mateo, Calif., a sister of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Morava and Dian, Woodland, Calif., cousins of the bride. The couple made their wed ding trip to the coast and to Portland before leaving for San Francisco where they are liv ing at 2598 Forty-third Avenue, ADartment 1. The bride wore a blue mohair suit with black accessories for traveling. Both the bride and bride groom attended Crater High School and the bridegroom is serving with the Navy as an electronics technician. Mrs. Louis Kropp, Burscll Road, Central Point, was hostess for a miscellaneous shower which honored the bride-elect About 35 guests attended the pre-wedding event. Nelson-Rude Ceremony Takes Place in Ashland ASHLAND Miss Susan Frances Rude and Rodney Ar thur Nelson were wed Novem ber 16 in a home ceremony per formed in the residence of the bridegroom's cousin, Gordon C. Hays, and Mrs. Hays, 1098 Pleasant Way. The Rev. B. J. Holland of the Ashland First Presbyterian Church officiated for the 7:30 o'clock evening rites. About 40 guests witnessed the ceremony and attended the reception given by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Rude, of 715 Pennsylvania Avenue, in the Hays home. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Nelson, Tower, Minn. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of embroidered silk taffeta styled with princess lines and bouf fant skirt. The cummerbund formed a bustle at the back. Her long white gloves were of satin and the single strand of pearls and matching earrings which she wore were a gift from Mrs. Paul Bell. A small crown trimmed with seed pearls held her illusion net veil and she car ried a white orchid with step hanotis on a white Bible, a gift from her grandmother when the bride was a child. One Attendant With Margery Moore was the bride's only attendant and can dlelightcrs were Miss Sandra Rude, a sister, and Miss Bev erly Bell. Miss Moore's frock was of gold brocade with high neckline, long sleeves and pleat ed skirt. Her bouquet was ot bronze spider chrysanthemums. The candlelighters wore white nylon with small designs and softly pleated skirts. Their cor sages were of small gold chrysanthemums.. Mr. Hays was best man and Steven Rude, a brother of the bride, met the guests at the door and Conlee and Chris In Appreciation 1 of your past year's patronage we're offering Double Green Stam Hays, cousins of the bridegroom received the guests. Mrs. Albert Osenbrug played the organ. The home was decorated with gold and bronze chrysanthe mums and palms decorated the fireplace. During the reception Mrs H. R. McKeever poured the cot- fee; Mrs. Gary Deathcrage and Miss Judy Benson served the cake. Mrs. David Housel pre sided at the punch bowl and Miss Betty McDonald register ed the guests. In charge of the gift table were Susie and Candie Hays. For her daughter's wedding and reception. Mrs. Rude wore a pink lace sheath dress and her corsage was a white orchid. 1 h e bride, a sophomore at Southern Oregon College, at tended Ashland High School. The bridegroom, who was grad uated from the same college last June, attended Tower-Sou-don High School, in Tower. He is a salesman for Sears, Roe buck and Company, Medford. The couple is living at 33 Un ion Street, Ashland. For the wedding trip the bride wore a yellow wool dress with matching hat. Her corsage was an orchid. Social Evening Planned By Club Parents Without Partners plan a social meeting for Monday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m., in the Rehabilitation Center on East Stewart Avenue. A tour has been planned for the early part of the meeting and those attending are asked to arrive promptly so that ar rangements can be made. After the tour the group will return to the center for cards and refreshments. Yreka Circle Plans Projects YREKA Work projects were planned by Rachel Circle of the first Baptist Church at its recent November meeting held at the home of Mrs. Mabel Marx. It was agreed to make lap robes from cotton blocks to be given to the local hospital. Flan nel baby quilts also will be made. Devotionals were led by Mrs. May Scammell and the p r o gram was read by Mrs. Maxine Giordano. At the close of the business session, conducted bv Mrs. Mil- died Steinhaus, chairman, the group cut quilt blocks. VFW Auxiliary To Plan Party Plans for a Christmas party for members of the auxiliary to Crater Lake Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and their fami lies will be made at the auxil iary's next meeting, Tuesday, December 3 at 8 p.m., in the VFW Hall, 42 North Front Street. Past Presidents Club of the auxiliary will hold a Christmas party December 15 in the home of Mrs. Ralph Pittock, 1014 West Tenth Street. An exchange of gifts is planned and refresh ments will be served by the hostess. Lodge To Observe Members' Birthdays Birthdays of all members of Olive Rebckah Lodge will be ob served at the group's next meet ing, Monday, December 2 at 8 p.m., in the IOOF Hall. Visiting Rebekahs are invited. The committee members are Mrs. Arnold Motchenbachcr, chairman; Mrs. LeRoy Clinc, Mrs. P. M. Aldredge and Mrs. Harry Bryant.
