The calamities that accom pany every enterprise of this magnitude are causing moans of anguish among league mem bers. A shortage of the proper materials for booth construction, stolen decorations, and rum mage that is not rummage, are recent problems. Sunday evening a dismayed daughter searched through countless racks and boxes of 4 Days Savings on BULKY SWEATERS 4 Days Only WOOL SKIRTS Readied; Decorcffions Are Stolen rummage for her mother's sum mer clothing, which had been mistakenly collected by a league pick-up crew. The woman was one of many generous local donors who offered rummage for the sale. She had left the carton of out-of-season clothing near her donation of discarded articles, both had been eagerly carted off for marking. League members report, happily, that she retrieved the missing cloth ing, with the aid of a flashlight and perseverance. Decorations Stolen A worse plight is that of Mrs. Geogry Hornecker, chair man of the Christmas booth, who is rephrasing a familiar MIDVOID MAIL TRIBL'.VE, MJ.DFOHD. plea. She has changed the usual "Keep the money and the wal let, but please return my pa pers" to "Keep the groceries, but please return my Christmas decorations." Mrs. Hornecker left her parked car unlocked last week while she shopped, and her hand-made Christmas bells were stolen with her groceries. The hours she labored to make the decorative bells mean more to her than the groceries, which were easily replaced. The flea market will open on schedule, in spite of minor mis haps, with a taped "kick-off" message from Representative Robert Duncan.
