SUNDAY. Banquet Planned for Ladies Auxiliary The Ladies Auxiliary of Jack' son County chapter, Disabled American Veterans, will be welcomed back after vacation at the meeting of the DAV Monday, Oct. 21. In keeping with established procedure, the Veterans will prepare and serve a banquet for the women, reversing the general order of things the one time of year. Patrick Graham, "chef de cuisine extraordinaire," will prepare the dinner, which will be served at 6:30 p.m. The auxiliary has been vaca tioning from meetings since Aug. 1. Fruit, 51, of 2775 Corey rd., pleaded innocent Fri day in Jackson county district court to charges of assault and battery. His trial was set for Nov. 8 in district court and hail was fixed at $100. He was held in the Jackson county jail in lieu of bail. Fruit was arrested by sher iff's deputies Thursday after a complaint was signed by his wile.
