The Camp Fire Girl of fices are located at 319 Lever iette building. The new director1 replaces Mrs. T. H. Gerety, Medford, who served in that position for seven years, until she recently . resigned. A Mrs. McGee is a graduate of 'the University of California, Berkeley, and has been a mem ber of American Association of University Women since 1939. The 70-piece Portland musical group is making a tour of the state this month, and upon re turning to Portland, will open the season there with a conceert October 21. Conductor Jacques Singer has been in Mexico to lead that na tion's Orquesta Sinfornica Na cional in four concerts, and re turned to Portland Monday. In tensive rehearsals will continue until the orchestra takes to the road October 12. The CFG director stated that through the years of work with young persons and their groups she considers such affiliations extremely important, and urges parents to consider the need (or joining their young sons and daughters in establishing a place in the community to the benefit of their families and vi cinity. She also pointed out the con stant need for leaders and spon sors.
