Goldwater Sees Opening in Defenses Washington -iUPB- Sen Bar ry Goldwater (R-Ariz.) said Tuesday the limited unclear test ban treaty may well be opening "a possible fatal gap" in U. In a prepared statement, the GOP presidential front runner said that "If this treaty really means that we must abandon efforts to defend our selves against attack by ICBM, then I would say that we have a clear challenge to the se curity of this nation." Soil conservation chairman, Fred West, reported that an engineer will be in the area during the next two weeks to work on the backlog of con servation problems created by the storm of October, 1962. Funds have been allocated, it was reported, for a soil scien tist for the area but at the present time there is no quali fied person available for the post. During the business meet ing, it was voted to grant the use of the Grange hall to the Upper Applegate Extension unit for their meetings begin ning in September. Announce ment also was made of a pub lic meeting at the hall Friday, Aug. 16, when Walter Craig, president of the Jackson County chapter of the Oregon State Fish and Game Council, and others will be present to outline procedures for posting land and discuss other ques tions pertaining to the off season hunting of deer. i 3 4 ,., , 10 12 13 14 15 LEGAL NOTICES NOTICE TO CREDITORS So. l-lS-(3 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the undersigned has been ap pointed Administrator of tne Estate of Willie E.
