Goldwater Sees
Opening in Defenses
Washington -iUPB- Sen Bar
ry Goldwater (R-Ariz.) said
Tuesday the limited unclear
test ban treaty may well be
opening "a possible fatal gap"
in U. S. defenses against
enemy missile attack.
In a prepared statement,
the GOP presidential front
runner said that "If this treaty
really means that we must
abandon efforts to defend our
selves against attack by ICBM,
then I would say that we have
a clear challenge to the se
curity of this nation."

During the business meet
