Dennii Vinton Kyi Patricia Gossman Wed To Dennis Vinton Keys Central Point - In a double ring ceremony held at the Medford Friends church, Miss Patricia Louise Gossman be came the bride of Dennis Vin ton Keys. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Gossman, 439 Gib bon road. Central Point, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Keys, 4860 Hope drive. Central Point. The Rev. Jack Willcuts of ficiated at the evening cere mony, attended by 100 guests, which was held Saturday, June 29 at 7 o'clock in the evening. The bride was dressed in a floor length gown of Chan tilly lace and tulle over taf feta with a fitted bodice and scoop neckline embroidered with iridescent sequins. A band of embroidered lace trimmed the front peplum and the tulle ruffles on the skirt. The hemline was trimmed with sequins. Her bouffant veil of hand rolled silk illusion in elbow length was held by a minia ture crown of pearls and iri descent crystals. She carried yellow roses encircled by white carnations. The maid of honor. Miss Jessie Lucille Cavin, wore a dress of pink lace over taf feta. Miss Bernice Gardner, bridesmaid, wore a gown of pink chiffon over taffeta. The dresses had sashes which were tied at the back, and both the maid of honor and bridesmaid carried bouquets of pink roses encircled with white carnations. Kathren Poulson, niece of the bridegroom, and Rhonda Gossman, cousin of the bride, both Medford, served as flower girls. They wore pink lace dresses over taffeta and carried baskets with pink and red rose petals. T. D. Keys, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Michael and Marvin Poulson, Medford, twin neph ews of the bridegroom, were ring bearers. Wayne McDonald and George McDonald, Medford, served as ushers. Miss Dar lene Paulson, who was can- dlelighter, wore a green semi, formal dress of lace over taf feta. Arranges Flowers Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Richard Arndt. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Gossman wore a blue and green sheath dress and Mrs. Keys was dressed in a pink sheath frock. Both had white accessories. The reception which was at tended by some 70 guests, was alven bv Mr. and Mrs. M. u Thomas, 1684 Minear road, Medford. Mrs. Bruce Poulson, sister of the bridegroom, served the cake which she had made, and Mrs. Theodore D. Keys, sis ter-in-law of the bridegroom, served punch and coffee. Mrs. Jessie Horn, sister of the bridegroom was guest book attendant. Out-of-town guests included Mrs. Paradine Hogue, grand mother of the bridegroom from Oklahoma; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Demmon, aunt and uncle of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Verthine, grand parents of the bride and Mrs, A. W. Lloyd, an aunt, all from California. The bride and bridegroom attended Crater High school where the bride is a senior student. The bridegroom is employed at Cheney Forest Products firm. They made their wedding trip to Yreka and Weed, Calif. They are living at 910V4 King street, Medford. Couple Returns Home After Trip to Coast Applegate Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Lanis Kenney, whose wedding took place June 22 at Trinity Episcopal church. Ashland, have returned from their wedding trip to the Ore gon coast. They are at home at 277 Laurel street, Ashland. The bride is the former Julia Ann Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Brown, Applegate, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roger L. Kenney, Helena, Mont. The ceremony was per formed at two o'clock in the afternoon by the Rev. Duane S. Alvord. About ISO guests attended. The altar was deco rated with yellow and white gladiolus. The bride, given in mar riage by her father, wore a floor-length dress made with lace bodice over satin and skirt of peau de sole fash ioned in shepherdess style. Her elbow length veil was held by a diamond shaped panel of pearls with a pearl drop and she carried a bou quet of yellow and white roses. Miss Stephanie Anderson, Medford, was maid of honor. Miss Penny Cantwell, Grants Pass, was bridesmaid and Miss Nancy Brown, sister of the bride, was junior bridesmaid. They wore street length dresses of yellow and cream taffeta brocade fashioned with bell skirts. Their headdresses were silk roses and they car ried bouquets of yellow roses. Thomas Kenney, Helena, Mont., brother of the bride groom was best man, and groomsmen were Lee Kenney another brother of the bride groom and Everett Winters Ashland. Acolytes were Doug las Burdic and John Zupan. Everett Winters, the solo ist, was accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Taylor, organist. The bride's mother wore a yellow silk dress with elbow length jacket and petal hat in shades of brown and yellow with bone colored accessories, The bridegroom's mother chose a blue lace dress with blue straw hat and blue acces sories. Both wore white carna tion corsages. A reception was held in the church parish hall. The wed ding cake, baked and deco rated by Mrs. Norman Kla vano, was cut and served by Mrs. Winters with a cake knife presented to the bride and bridegroom by Mr. and Mrs. Raoul Maddox. Presiding at the punch bowl was Mrs. Lee Kenney, sister-in-law of the bridegroom and pouring coffee was Mrs. Tho mas R. Brown, Thermal, Calif., aunt of the bride. Miss Sue Kenney, sister of the bridegroom had charge of the guest book. Others assisting with the re ception were Mrs. Lee Brown, Grants Pass, cousin of the bride, Mrs. Francis Krouse, Miss Madeline Meadors, cous in of the bride, and Miss Linda Pittock, all Applegate. Friends of the bridegroom serenaded the couple at the reception with band numbers. The group included Dr. B. H. Cope, Raoul Maddox, David Wight, Richard Cottle, Robert Reinholdt and David Fort-miller. For her wedding trip Mrs. Kenney wore a salmon colored suit with white acces sories. She is a graduate of Southern Oregon college and will teach at the Ashland High school this fall. The bridegroom is a graduate of Montana State university and is band instructor at Ashland Junior High school. Out of town guests includ ed Mrs. Theodore Fish, Tule lake, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Brown, Thermal, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Brown and daughter, Judy, Grants Pass. 1 The Past Chiefs club of Pythian Sisters will meet at the home of Mrs. Walter Michael, 475 Charlotte Anne road, Tuesday July 23 at 1 p.m. A potluck luncheon will be served with Mrs. Ida Ire land as co-hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Lanis Kenney Installation Conducted Mrs. Henry Keplinger was installed president of the auxiliary to the Carpenters union in ceremonies conduct ed last week. Mrs. Vernon Williamson, state auxiliary president, was here from Coos Bay to act as Installing officer. Others installed were Mrs. Lloyd Fisher, vice president; Mrs. Thomas Mast, secretary; Mrs. Fred Meadows, treasur er; Mrs. George A. watson, conductor; Mrs. Herb Sharp, warden, and Mrs. Richard Hargrove, Mrs. Cleve C. Fer ris and Mrs. Louis Ward, trustees. A dinner which honored Mr. and Mrs. Williamson pre ceded the ceremonies. The auxiliary meets the first and third Friday eve nings of each month and wives of union carpenters are invited to attend. Areanes Family Visits in Derby Derby-Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Arellanos and three sons. Ricky, David, and Robert have returned to their home in Sunnyvale, Calif., after vis iting here three days as the houscgucsts of Mr. and Mrs. James Hunt, Box 130A, Butte Falls highway, Eagle Point. Mr. and Mrs. Hunt were former neighbors of the Arel- lanes family in Sunnyvale. Lawrence Tolle, Bellflower. Calif., was an overnight guest of Mr. and Mrs. Hunt. He was en route to Seattle, Wash. I Grants Pass Group Attends MOL Luncheon A delegation from Grants Pass was in Medford last week to attend a luncheon meeting of the auxiliary to the Cebu swamp, Military Order of the Lizurds, United Spanish War Veterans. The event was held at the home of Mrs. Don Anderson, 803 Pine street. About 20 members and guests were present. Mrs. James Vanderstecn, gila monster, presided. Renne Grosh. Grants Pass, newly elected department command er for the USWV was introduced. Others introduced were Mrs. Grosh, department sen ior vice president; Mrs Vand erstecn, department patriotic instructor; Mrs. Alice Smith, department guard; Mrs. Harry Barncburg, drill captain, and Mrs. Bertha Nelson, grand caltctepon. The members and guests from Grants Pass also in cluded Mrs. Willie Cooper, Mrs. Nellie Leasing, Mrs. Alice St. Laurent, Mrs, Mabel Breitemayer, Mrs. Sallie Cot ter and Ernest Cotter. A report was made of the recent grand convocation held in Eugene, when Mrs. Mary Gates of that city was elected grand gila monster of the grand swamp of Oregon. Mrs. Breitemayer is the retiring gila monster. She presided for the grand session. A new rubber heel prom ises to wear from three to four times longer than most shoe heels. The luncheon will be a potluck event and women members are to take contributions of food. Cakes are being fur nished. During the July 31 meeting club officers will be installed. Mrs. Ed McCracken was pianist for last week's meet ing when the group sang. All interested persons are invited to the weekly meet ings, held each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 pm., with luncheon served at 12 noon.
