The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron J. Ayres, 12 North Groveland avenue, and Mr. Morris is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Morris, 240 Sunrise avenue. The marriage ceremony was read at 7:30 o'clock In the evening at St. Mark's 1U& Mrs. Thomas 'it-' ' x ; Broadway Theater League Elects Members of Board New members of the board of the Medford Broadway Theater league were elected at a recent meeting. Ronald Ricketts will serve as president the coming sea son and he will be assisted by Dwight Houghton and Brian B. Mullen. Other members are Robertson Collins, Bob Biehn, Mrs. Ralph Hlbbs, Mrs. Arlon Skinner, Mrs. Jack Lewis, Mrs. B. D. Mitchell, Mrs. Kent Blackhurst, Mrs. John C. Collins and Mrs. Oscar J. Halboth. This will ba the third sea son for the league here and four plays are scheduled as In the past. Booked ara a musi cal, a delightful comedy, ' "Take Her, She's Mine," a distinguished play concerning the life of Sir Thomas More entitled "A Man for All Sea sons" and a comedy, "A Thousand Clowns." George R. V. Bolster of ficiating. About 350 guests were present for the rites and the reception which followed in St. Mark's Parish house. The bride's gown was of silk organza with jacket of French Chantilly lace. A train of lace floated from the back of the jacket, which dipped to a deep vec. Her bouffant veil was held by a rose and she carried a cluster of white Jay Morris (Lock photo) scribe to the magazine 'Show," at a reduced rate. This publication is devoted to the arts. A season membership en ables the holder to attend all four plays, presented at The Holly theater, and each indi vidual has an assigned scat. Stoffer, Carson City, Nov., who were married In Carson City Monday, July 13, arc guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Young, Valley View road, Tal ent. Mrs. Stoffer, the former Marian Mathews, Is the daugh ter of Pearl Mathews, Lyn wood, Calif., and Mr. Stoffer is a son of Mrs. Young. The bride's twin sister, Miss Jacquelyn Ayres, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were the Misses Sandra Bates, Alice Jonason and Susan Gar ner. Their gowns were of pale aquamarine brocade with bell ed skirts, waist bands of deep er aquamarine and cutaway sleeves. Their headdresses were of the deeper aquama rine and they carried colonial bouquets of white carnations Miss Lynn Kinney was to have been a member of the bridal party but was unable to attend because of illness. Lauri McQueen, flower girl, wore a gown similar to those of the attendants and carried a white basket of rose petals. Mr. Ayres gave his daugh ter In marriage and Thomas Brauner was best man for the bridegroom. Larry Brown, Michael Bauer and Milan Kurtz were ushers; Terry Winctrout and John Barker served as acolytes. Mrs. E. C. Conrad played the organ music. Mothers Wear Silk For the wedding and recep. tion the bride's mother wore a mauve silk sheath and hat and white accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore turquoise blue silk sheath with white accessories. Their flowers were white orchids. A pink and white color theme was used for the altar flowers and other floral dec orations for the wedding and reception. Mrs. Bolster took charge of the reception dec orations. Miss Diane Mohr was at the guest book and Miss Judy De Haven was at the gift table. The Misses Susan White and Pamela Martin, both cousins of the bride, poured punch and Miss Mary Milne nd Miss Kristine Schade were at the punch bowls. Margo and , Candy Finclle and Candy Mohr passed the rice. Mrs. Avadna Martin, aunt of the bride and Mrs. Larry Schade, aunt of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake. The cake had been made by Mrs. Mar tin. Mr. Morris and his bride made a wedding trip to Lake Tahoe in California and to Nevada. The bride's travel ing ensemble was a three piece silk suit of deep aqua marine with while accessor ies and she wore a white or chid corsage. The newlywcds are living at 4069 South Pacific high way, Medford. The bride was graduated from Medford High school and attended Southern Oregon college. Mr. Morris, a graduate of Medford schools and Southern Oregon college, is a mathematics teacher at McLoughlin Junior High school, Medford. New summer colors . , , first grada lean nylons . . Values to 10.98 ry " i, 1 1 mm lr Mr. and Mrs. Roger Alan Fisher (Knaclciisdi photo) Public Invited Stump Gallery Reception Ashland - The public is in vited to attend an informal reception to be held In the Stump Art gallery on the Plaza in Ashland, Monday, July 22 from the hours of 12 noon to 5 o clock in the after noon. The invitation has been made by Mrs. Marilyn Briggs, director, who has announced the opening of the gallery for a seven week season. Clos ing date will be September 7, the date of last performance of the Oregon Shakespearean festival. The director has explained that the works displayed this year should be even more ap pealing to the gallery - goer than last year's exhibits. The geographic origin and the type of work represented has been broadened, she ex plains. In addition to paint ings, drawings and prints, on view will be pottery and sculpture. The works have been done by professional ar tists established in the San Francisco Bay area, Portland and the Rogue valley. The Image gallery, Port land, is represented by a col lection including works by such well - known artists as Charles Heancy, Jack McLar ty and James Castle. The pottery ex hibit includes work by An drew Bergloff, a native of Klamath Falls, and recently a winner of prizes in the Bay area The Tudor Guild Book fair again will be conducted at the Stump gallery, and the pro ceeds will be used for the fes tival scholarship fund. The guild members will sponsor teas at the gallery from S to 6 p.m., on Fridays. Purpose of these events is to introduce festival visitors with actors and actresses in an informal setting. Another feature of the gal ery's program this year will be children's art lesson. Classes are held each week for seven weeks between 1:30 and 3 p.m. All supplies are furnished and tuition is charg ed. On Mondays children from kindergarten age through the third grade will meet; on Wednesdays, fourth through sixth grade students will study, and on Fridays classes will be conducted for seventh through ninth grade students. I m a 98 II II Linda Cheryl Ray Wed To - Roger Alan Fisher Talent Miss Linda Cheryl Ray became the bride of Roger Alan Fisher in 7:30 o'clock evening rites July 12. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Harvey Coovert in the Zion Lutheran church. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ray, 201 West Main street, Talent, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Elton Fisher, Suncrcst road, Talent. The bride's father escorted her to the altar and gave her in marriage. She wore a satin gown with sweetheart neck line and skirt designed with a headpiece of satin roses and train. Her veil of tulle and Chantilly lace was held by a she carried a nosegay of white carnations and stephanotis with a lavender orchid. She also carried a century-old handkerchief made in France, now owned by her aunt, Mrs. John Schulte. Miss Carole Morin, Phoenix was the honor attendant and the bridesmaids were the Misses Barbara Beer, Med ford, and Cathy Fisher, a sis ter of the bridegroom. Their gowns were of lavender taf feta with full skirts and three quarter length sleeves. Their matching headbands were of the same material and net trimmed with roses. They car ried nosegays of lavender candytuft with white daisies centered with lavender chids. Julie and Rebecca Waldron, Medford, nieces of the bride, were flower girls. Their dresses were of pastel yellow nylon over taffeta with bouf fant skirts. Julie Waldron's miniature nosegay was simi lar to the one carried by the bride, and her sister carried a basket of lavender and white flowers. Lester Ray Jr. was the ring bearer. Serving as best man for his brother was David Fisher. Ushers were Robert Jacobs and James Schreeve, both Medford. The altar was decorated with white gladioli and daisies with yellow calla lilies. Bouquets of orchid dahlias and daisies were used at the sides of the altar and pew ends were marked with yel low and white daisies with lavender ribbons. Mrs. Paul Evensen was or ganist. Reception Held The reception given by the bride's parents was held in the church. Attending were some fifty guests. Mrs. Charles Peterson was in charge of reception arrange ments. The bride's mother was dressed in pink eyelet em broidered linen with pink and white accessories. Mrs. Cedric Sharte poured the coffee and Miss Gail Scharfe was at the punch bowl. Mrs. L. E. Lull had made the cake. The reception room was decorated with yellow, white and lavender flowers. Mrs. Donald Long had done the decorating. The bride and bridegroom attended Phoenix schools and the bride also attended Rob ertson School of Business. The bridegroom is employed by Leo Jacobs, building contract or. The couple traveled to San Francisco, returning by the coast route. The bride wore a blue pastei cotton knit suit. They will live at 410i Ken wood avenue. 1 Forthcoming Rites Are Announced Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Boggs, 2674 Lone Pine road, have announced the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Deanna Louise Boggs, to Thomas Gates Moore. Both Miss Boggs and her fiance are stationed with the Army at Ft. Knox, Ky., Miss Boggs being a specialist fifth class in the Woman's Army corps. She has been stationed at Ft. Knox for the past two years, and was graduated from Medford High school in 1961. The bridegroom-elect is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren J. Moore, Canal Winchester, Ohio. He attended Columbus academy, Columbus, Ohio; Kenyon college and the Uni versity of Mississippi. He is a member of Phi Kappa Pi fraternity. Upon termination of his military tour, t.' - bridegroom elect plans to accept the posi tion of director of public re lations for the Canal Win chester bank. The wedding has been set for August 24 in Canal Win chester. 4 August Rites Set by Couple Talent - Mr. and Mrs. Joe Silva, 227 Old Pacific highway, Talent, announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Bonnie Jo, to Da vid Rudolph Hauck, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hauck, Ashland.
