The bride's parents are Mr. and Mrs. C. H. King, 1729 Southeast Portola d ri v e , Grants Pass. The bridegroom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Cochrane, Merlin, Ore., is an employee of the Medford Montgomery Ward and com' pany store. The rites were read at 8 o'clock in the evening, June 2 8 by the Rev. Leroy G. Fraser. Mr. King gave his daughter in marriage. The bride's floor length gown was of Chantilly lace and tulle over taffeta with fitted bodice and scoop neck' line embroidered with irides' cent sequins. A short front peplum was trimmed with sequin-embroidered lace, the lace banding repeated across the front of the bouffant skirt as an edging on the tulle ruf' flcs. The back of the skirt, of lace, was trimmed with sequins at the hemline. Her hand rolled silk illu sion veil was elbow length and fell from a petal tiara o f pearls and iridescent crystals. She carried a cascade bouquet of small pink roses and steph anotis encircling a white or chid. Her pearl necklace was a Rift from the bridegroom. Mrs. Dale H. King, a sister- in-law of the bride was mat ron of honor and Mrs. William Wright and Mrs. William Har bin were bridesmatrons. All wore matching street length Barbra Tosh Ralph Loyd Miss Barbra Phyliss Tosh became the bride of Ralph Loyd Lester in the Church of Christ, Court street, June 29, at eight o'clock in the even ing. Eston Callett, minster, of ficiated at the double ring rites attended by about 150 relatives and friends. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Tosh, 1916 Grandview ave. Mr. Les ter is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lester, Coleman Creek road. , . . ; . Miss Sharon Simmons, was maid of honor. The Misses Sandra Hawkins, Suzann Beacham and Virginia Van Pelt were brldemalds. Flower girls were Miss Becky Van Pelt, cousin of the bride, and Miss Debbie Lester, sister of the bridegroom. They carried baskets of rose petals. Ray Lester, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Donald Tosh, brother of the bride, Larry Green, cousin of the bride, and Roy Lester, brother of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was the bride's neph ew, Mark Tosh. ' Candclighters were Miss Jo Lester, sister of the bride groom, and Miss Shannon Reynolds, cousin of the bride. Mr. Tosh escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin with fitted bodice, long sleeves and high neckline. Her fingertip length veil was of silk Illusion and held by a crown of pearls and she carried a bouquet of pink rosebuds and white car nations encircling a white or chid. The bridesmaids wore street length dresses of mint green lace over taffeta. Their head pieces were fashioned with matching float veils. The maid of honor wore a gold lace dress over satin. Blue velvet headbands held their circular tulle veils and they carried bouquets of pink roses and white carnations. Kimberly Harbin, the flow er girl, was dressed in blue nylon with lace jacket. Thomas King, a nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. The bride's brother, Dale H. King, served as best man and ushers were Brad Frazier and Bruce DeMarco, who also served as candlelighters. The church was decorated with pink and white gladioli. Mrs. W. F. Lard sang the wed ding songs accompanied by Mrs. Marjorie Gallagher, or ganist. The bride's mother wore a pink lace dress over taffeta with jacket. The bridegroom's mother wore a blue lace frock over taffeta. Both had pink and white carnations corsages. The reception was held in the church room3 with Mrs. Glenn Campbell serving the cake and Mrs. Ruth Eggen and Mrs. Walter Stach serving the coffee. Mrs. R. Lynn Sturgill poured punch while Mrs. Roy Wirtz had charge of the guest book. The couple made their wed ding trip to California and Nevada, the bride wearing a suit of blue and white linen with white accessories. Her corsage was the orchid from her bridal bouquet. They will live in Grants Pass at 1511 N street. The bride attended Rogue River schools and has been employed in the Grants Pass branch of the First National Bank of Oregon. The bride groom attended Grants Pass schools. Bride of Lester quets were of white carna tions. The candlelighters' dresses were of orchid taffeta. Baskets of white gladioli decorated the church and lighted candles and while bows marked the pew ends. Organist was Mrs. Frank Williams, Prospect. The bride's mother chose a navy blue lace over taffeta dress and white accessories. Mrs. Lester's dress was of printed nylon with matching accessories. Both had corsages oi white carnations. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Girls Community club. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. J. L. Van Pelt, Klamath Falls, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Donald Tosh, sister-in-law of the bride. Mrs. J. W. Beacham and Mrs. Phillip Reynols, Klamath Falls, aunts of the bride, presided at the punch bowl. Pouring coffee was Mrs. Ira Tosh, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Claude Self, cousin of the bride. Forrester (Freemen photo) Home Wedding Held In Central Point Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ivan Higinbotham Jr. are living at 4957 Hamrick road, Central Point, following their recent rriarriage at the home of the bridegroom's grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Laurel Scott, Taylor road, Central Point. The bride, the former Glenda Marie Worthington, is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin F. Worthington, 2391 Howard avenue, Medford. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Higin botham, Hamrick road, Cen tral Point. The ceremony was per formed June 8 at 8 o'clock in the evening by the Rev. Andrew Rahn of the Pente costal Church of God, Cen tral Point. Mr. Worthington gave his daughter in marriage. The bride's pale pink floor length gown of taffeta and chiffon was designed with sweet heart neckline. Her shoulder length veil was held from a pale pink velvet crown and she carried white carnations with pink rosebuds on a white Bible, She also carried of the bridegroom was In charge oi the guest book. The newlyweds traveled to the Oregon coast on their wed ding trip end are at home at 513 Palm street. The bride's traveling attire was a white jacket dress with red trim and red accessories. She wore the orchid from her bridal bou quet. Among out of town guests were J. L. Van Pelt, Becky and Virginia, and Mr. Reyn ols and Shannon, all Klamath Falls. The bride is a graduate of Medford High school and is employed by MEDPACC. The bridegroom is a graduate of Phoenix High school and is employed by Crystal Springs orchards. Pink roses and rhododen drons with trumpet vine marked the aisle. The reception given by the bride's parents also was held at the Scott home. Mrs. Frank Scott served the wedding cake and Miss Linda Spolek poured punch. Miss Lynn Kenney registered the guests. For the wedding and re ception the bride's mother wore a white suit with a pink and white carnation corsage and the bridegroom s mother was dressed in a green and white print frock. Her cor sage was of yellow and white carnations. The couple left for their wedding trip to Grants Pass For traveling the bride wore a blue suit. The bride attended Crater High school and the bride groom was graduated this spring from the same school. He is employed by the W. C. Higinbotham dairy. Also from out of town were Mrs. Asher and the family, Happy Camp, Calif. They were married by Wil liam Lehrmann, Jehovah's Witnesses minister, at a 5 o'clock ceremony, July 4. The bride, given in mar riage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Lanham, Rogue River. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Eugene Frederick, Redmond, and George Forrester, Oro ville, Calif. For the double ring cere mony the bride wore a bal lerina length white nylon and lace dress. She carried a bou quet of carnations and glad ioli. Mrs. Verle Yost, Medford, Yreka Pythian Groups Hold Outdoor Event Yreka-Pythian Sisters and Knights of Pythias of Yreka recently met for dinner served in the patio garden of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schlueter. Nearly 50 members and guests attended. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clark Taylor, Los Gatos, Calif., who are visiting at the Paul Foster home. Mrs. Clark, the former Miss Dor othea Stripling is a member of the Yreka Pythian Sisters. The next meeting will be held July 24 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest John son. WCTU To Hold Installation Election and installation of officers will be the main order of business at a pot luck picnic of the Woman's Christian Temperance union. The indoor picnic will be held at noon, Friday, July 19, in the fireplace room of the First Presbyterian church. The Rev. Robert Bridge will be in charge of installa tion, and devotions will be led by Mrs. Bridge. Couple Returns From Canada Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nieder. meyer returned last week from a trip to British Colum bia where Mr. Neidermeyer attended a Vanvouver trap, shoot. From Vancouver they drove up the Frazer River canyon to the caribou county, stopping at Cache creek, 100-Mile-House and Lac La Hache. After visiting in the Kam loops district, they went by boat to Vancouver island, driving to Victoria w h e r a they stayed at the Empress hotel and later boarded the ship, the Princess Marguerite for Seattle.- While in Seattle they wera guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Peckham.
