This home has a generous measure of both qualities. The long, low exterior of this house has been treated with rich, rugged materials to achieve a rustic ranch char acter. Used brick completely frames the family room win dows and is also used In the chimney and the two highly appealing planters on each side of the front bedroom. Note the dramatic effect achieved by extending the steep gable root over these nlnntera. Corbels are located under the garage gable which pro iects past the Wall of the ga rage. This, together with the tapered barge rafter and dis tinctive garage door design, enhances the overall appear ance of this charming home. Protected Entry The protected entry leads directly to the living and fam ily rooms and the short bed room hall. Today's bath requires less care, offers more comfort and beauty. This family bath has twin lavatory which is sep arated from the water closet by a partial wall with obscure glass above. There is both a shower and a tub with plumb ing in one wall to serve each. A second bath Is on tne service. Hieh windows In two of the bedrooms provide more wall space for furniture arrange ment and give privacy. A wide wardrobe opens to each bedroom and the front bed room has the luxury of an ex tra closet. Ellmete Partition ' By eliminating the partition between the living ana am ine rooms, you gain a much larger looking area than you would usually expect in house of this size. Sliding glass doors open from the liv ing room to the paruauy roofed patio. As only cablnels and an eating bar are used to separ ate the family room from the kitchen, one area "lends" space to another and proves that careful planning works wonders In the face of space limits. An offset In the oversized garage 21' x 21' outside di mensionshas room for a fur nace and water healer with enough space remaining for a good sited workshop. The garage door has been so lo cated to provide a storage area on the outside garage wall. i -J i rnmnlete workins drawings for this plan can be purchased at a tost of S7.9U for the first set And $5 for each additional net when ordered at tne same time, mis plan will be available at these prices unttl Sept. 12. Please allow two to three weeks for delivery. KENNEDY'S JANUARY FORECASTS 'TRUE OR FALSE ? I uiai fivt mnnthx SCO todav that President Kennedy submitted his 1963 Economic Report to Congress in which he made specific assumptions ana lorccasis oi me m-cpi-si bread-and-butter concern to all of us. How -true or false are his assumptions and forecasts shaping up? In view of the fact that, by this date last year, every m-u.iai hall th white House economists had used to pre pare 1962' Economic Report had been shattered to bits and the stock maricel was on me eve ui ...a.- ..... is more than a superficial question. Here, therefore, is a May 21 dissection of the five basic points in Kennedy s Jan. 21 blueprint. . ..... ... ,....., (1) "I do not expect a imn postwar re """'"i" our progress in 1963 ... wf o'ro tar from beln In a recession. On the contrary, we are heading into the 28th month of the 1961-63 expan sion on a quickening upbeat. The whole economy has taken on new life, records are being toppled on every side. (2) "Prospects, taking into accoum u iii duction, lead to the projection oi a grow for 1963 of $578 billion , . ." Way understated. Our total output of goods and sarvices in 1963 is likely to b. at least $7 billion above Kennedy's January esti mate at least. It could be that In lha final quarter of this year. CNP in our country will ba running wall abova $590 billion, approaching the $600 billion landmark. Every type of spending Is now rising at a rata faster than the Whit. House projected In January. This is happening with out "taking into account the proposed tax reduction. (3) "I am proposing a major reduction in individual in come tax rates . . . beginning July l... Not a chance for July 1. The odds are this session of Congress will pass a bill giv ng substantial tax reductions to individuals and corporations, u.. . u.. t.,1,, 1 onH nnt. with an eltcctive aaie oi juiy i. Nor will the bill Congress passes be the one the President submitted. Kennedy's January assumption for tax cuts both in form and timing is in tne asncan. (4) "Prices have been essentially stable for five years, This has broken the inflationary psychology look for stable prices is excellent . . . As of this da'le. Inflation Is In check. The modest increase In steel prices is not kicking on anomer .miowu.. -h" Rather, this price hike was a neanny xning mu ing to the strength in our economy. As in most years since World War II, our cost of living measured by the consumer ,JL: .. ,n .hh In . new oeak in 1936. but the rate rice uiucA-niu ., , - t- of rise will be within the range of reasonaoie sxaouuy. in flation could become a danger again u uu. ..v..., into a major boom in 1964, but it Is not a danger now (5) "Price stability nas e i-"""" ,hli:r" of our need to e lminate tne continuing .. -- naZLl balance of payments . .
